About this property

A-Frame cabin Bunkhouse #3

Located steps away from the creek our bunkhouse offers a queen-sized sleeping loft with mattress, two bunkbeds with twin over full sized beds that give this cabin that summer camp feel. A relaxed space for kids of all age. The space has a half bath and is adjacent to the bath house with two full showers. This cabin has fans and space heaters to keep you comfortable. There is a snack area with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Our cabin can accommodate up to eight guests with its bunk beds and loft. The ladder to the loft may not be suitable for children or those with mobility issues. Linens, towels, coffee, and picnic kitchenware provided with each stay.

The Bunkhouse is just a short walk down to our stocked fishing pond where we have channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, and sunfish. There is a $10 fee and is catch and release. The creek can be fished but with a WV state fishing license.

I am glad I brought mt own cleaning supplies and a broom, so much dust, hair and what ever else was in the floor. There was no towels provided and a 1/2 roll of toilet paper, the TV didnt work and internet connection kept kicking us off. The electric outlets hung out of the wall and light switched sparked and only worked after several attempts like they were on a shorter fuse or something. We were there visiting elderly family. The underside of one of the chairs had mold and the loft was so hot it was unusable. The ducks in there pond attacked my 3 childrens and my special needs daughter had snips on her legs from the ducks. The floors had lumos in them and the "bath tub" barely had water flow/pressure enough to make it into the tub. The fridge kept going off. Wr had bought 2 extra fans and a mini a/c unit to cool the cabin and due to the gaps in the framing and around the doornit was essentially pointless, we ended keeping thr doors open. If I didn't need a place to sleep with my 3 girls and didnt already clean it after arrival we would of left after the 1st night. You rent a cabin so you are not camping and have towels and a bathroom that is your own and that isnt the case at all. Let alone have your food go to waste. Or even vaccum the floor. The fire alarm wasnt even mounted on the wall ut sat in the dresser as well on the plus side The area was beautiful right by the river which was amazing to hear at night.in Town there was a store that has everything for 25 cents.

Hi, my name is Erin DeHaas, I am from Annapolis, Maryland and as of the end of May 2026, I purchased this little slice of heaven. I love to be enveloped by nature and wildlife. I have a passion for plants and being surrounded by beautiful things.

Why they chose this property

I had been looking for property for a year or so with water features. And this property nailed it! A three-acre pond, a creek, and a river. It is so peaceful here. My hope is that this property gives my guests peace like it has given me.

What makes this property unique

This property is unique with the confluence of the creek and river. There are two spots in the river that you can wade in and cool off in the summer. You can fish in the river (must have a WV fishing license) and catch dinner. Not to mention the large catch and release pay pond (no license required).
