After driving through a romantic forest, the view of the vast sea opens up.
At the top of the famous Falais coast, this villa rises with a phenomenal view of the sea and the coast.

The villa “Châlet les Canards” is part of three independent chalets that started at the beginning of the 20th Century were built. They were built in the characteristic ornamental style of the "Belle Epoque" and have shaped the picturesque panorama of the Bois de Cise since then. Each villa was decorated with individual motifs. The current name of the villa “Châlet les Canards” comes from the numerous decorations that were attached to the facade, but also in the living room in the form of duck heads.

The picturesque fishing villages of Le Tréport and Ault are in the vicinity. With its beach promenade and colorful rows of houses, Mers les Bains invites you to stroll or swim. The city of residence Eu with castle and cathedral offers sights and shopping opportunities.

Perfect getaway!

We were staying there during our 2 week architecture workshop in Ault and found the house to be a perfect retreat to fall back to every night. The views to the every changing sea and the spatial layout of the house worked very well for us. Despite her being away, the host was more than accommodating in making sure that we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. The house is truly a perfect getaway for all that wish to experience the cliffs and its surrounding cities in its galore of particularly wonderful climatic conditions - highly recommendable!

Urlaub in der Belle Époque

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt mit zwei Erwachsenen und vier Kindern/Jugendlichen in diesem wirklich ganz besonderen Haus. Es ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, es gab genug Platz für alle und die Sicht aufs Wasser ist toll. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 5-10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Vielleicht ist das Haus nicht für Familien mit ganz kleinen Kindern geeignet (viele Treppen, Deko und Kunstwerke) - ansonsten eine absolute Empfehlung! Belle Époque-Charme und fantastische Landschaft garantiert.

Besonderes Haus in fantastischer Lage

Das Haus hat außen wie innen einen besonderen Charakter und viel Charme, eine gute Raumaufteilung und viel Platz für gemeinsame Zeit, aber auch um sich mal aus dem Weg zu gehen. Toller Garten mit großer Terrasse, grandioser Aussicht und Meeresrauschen. Der Weg zur Bucht ist kurz und schön. Sehr freundlicher und unkomplizierter Kontakt zur Vermieterin per Email mit vielen guten Tipps, wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und bestens betreut. Die Übergabe durch die Verwalterin vor Ort verlief problemlos und wie vereinbart, trotz unserer ausbaufähigen Französischkenntnisse. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Haus nur weiter empfehlen.

ein Traumhaus !!

ein absolut fantastisches Haus in traumhafter Lage, bis ins Detail liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.! Zum Wohlfühlen und Staunen, an jeder Ecke in jedem Raum gibt es etwas zu entdecken. Man hat das Gefühl, bei jemandem zu Hause zu sein und nicht in einem Ferienhaus. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen! Die Vermieter gaben zudem ausführliche Tipps zur Reise und Umgebung, die Verwalterin vor Ort war sehr zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Das tollste Haus, in dem ich bisher Ferien verbringen durfte,

Atemberaubend

Wir haben das Haus sehr genossen, es atmet die Zeit der Belle Epoque, so wie der ganze Ort Bois de Cise. Es war alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Wir hatten auch großes Glück mit dem Wetter. Frau Kist hatte mir im Vorfeld eine Mail geschrieben, die sehr informativ und freundlich war und es hat uns schon positiv auf unseren Urlaub eingestimmt. Wir waren rund herum zufrieden, obwohl die Treppen für jemanden mit Handicap eine Herausforderung darstellen. Das wusste ich allerdings im Vorhinein, da die Bilder das sehr gut zeigen. Ich wollte trotzdem in dem Haus wohnen und die einmalige Aussicht genießen. Das haben wir sehr ausgiebig getan.

Architektonisches Kleinod an der Kreideküste

Ein wunderbares Haus an einem wunderbaren Ort – ganz wie die Bilder es verraten. Seeblick von allen Etagen, eine sonnige Terrasse zum Frühstück und selbst an heißen Tagen noch ein frisches Lüftchen. Reichlich Platz auch für eine größere Familie. Wir haben uns äußerst wohlgefühlt, recht herzlichen Dank an die Gastgeberin! (Und ebenfalls an Frau Lefebvre, die uns sehr freundlich empfangen hat.) Wenn der Weg nicht so weit wäre, würden wir sofort wieder für nächstes Jahr buchen.

Villa mit Flair

Wir haben eine Woche in diesem wunderbaren Haus verbringen dürfen. Haus trifft es allerdings nicht wirklich, es ist wirklich eine alte Villa im typischen Landesstil mit echtem Charme. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll arrangiert und es fehlt wirklich nichts bei der Ausstattung. Der Blick aus den Schlafzimmerbetten auf die kleine Atlantikbucht ist bezaubernd. In der Umgebung gibt es einige tolle Orte zu erkunden. Danke noch mal an die stets erreichbare und sehr zuvorkommende Vermieterin, die uns mit zahlreichen Insidertipps verwöhnt hat. Wir werden sicher noch einmal in diese tolle Location zurückkehren.

Un séjour de grande qualité

Le cachet particulier de la demeure se retrouve également à l'intérieur. La disposition des pièces, leur aménagement, l'équipement, la terrasse, l'accueil à l'arrivée ... tout cela participe à la réussite d'un séjour en famille (10 nuits / 3 générations) ! Encore merci.

Demeure de caractère très agréable

Propriété très agréable dans un endroit atypique et charmant. Attention à ceux qui n'aiment pas les maisons verticales : il y a 4 niveaux. Mais c'est aussi tout le charme de cette maison que les marcheurs prennent souvent en photo. La terrasse est très pratique et la maison bien équipée (2 frigos notamment). Les deux places de parking très pratiques également. La région vaut le détour : le tourisme n'y est pas de masse et pourtant beaucoup de choses à voir et déguster. Bref, je recommande.

Superbe maison

On se sent pas comme dans une location mais comme chez-soi au Bois de Cise. De nombreuses personnes s'arrêtent devant cette superbe maison pour prendre des photos. Accueil sympa et professionnel de la gérante, et le propriétaire très rapide en cas de question. Un séjour très agréable en bord de mer.

Un très agréable et magnifique séjour

Niché dans une petite vallée forestière entre la baie de Somme et les falaises du Tréport, le bois de Cise est un magnifique endroit où se reposer et profiter de la mer. La maison à elle seule vaut le détour : un petit bijou de 1850 joliment rénové et décoré avec goût. A conseiller sans modération.

Une escapade au calme dans une charmante villa hors du temps

Retour à la Belle Epoque avec cette villa idéalement placée dans le Bois de Cise, à proximité directe de la mer. Parfaitement équipée, elle développe sur plusieurs niveaux des pièces aménagées avec charme et goût. La terrasse nous a permis des petits déjeuners au son des vagues parmi les hortensias. La cuisine fraîche nous a protégés de la canicule. Le salon et les chambres nous ont plongés dans une ambiance artistique et luxueuse. L'emplacement de parking est le bienvenu avec les routes étroites du lieu. En bas du jardin, un portillon permet l'accès au sentier serpentant jusqu'à la mer... Toute la famille a apprécié !

Sehr angenehme und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Villa.

In exponierter und ruhiger Lage auf dem Klippen liegende Villa mit Meeresblick und angenehmen Ambiente. Es fehlte an nichts nur der Mobilfunkempfang ließ zu wünschen übrig. Dafür war das im Haus eingerichtete Wlan hervorragend und auch das TV-Satelitenprogramm, ließ keine Wünsche offen. Es war für uns ein ruhiger und entspannter Urlaub.

A house with character and history

We had a wonderful stay in Bois de Cise .there were 5 adults and a baby and had lots of space for everyone. The house has lots of character and each room is full of paintings and artefacts which give it the feel of a real family home. Bois de Cise is a very small village with no shop, but the views and scenery are amazing. The local town of Eu is stunning.One note of caution, there are a lot of stairs

Fantastic place to stay!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at this lovely house. The village is pretty and very relaxed. The beach and cliffs are spectacular and you are near some really good places to visit. I would highly recommend to anyone. The hosts are also very good and would do anything to help you and make your stay more enjoyable.

Einzigartiges Haus mit unvergleichlichem Charakter

Die Beschreibung des Hauses entspricht voll und ganz der Realität. Allerdings können die Fotos nicht die besondere Atmosphäre des Hauses wiedergeben. das Haus ist ideal für drei Paare bzw. in unserem falle waren es Elternpaar- und Großelternpaar mit Kindern im Teenager-Alter. Alleine wegen der Treppen ist ein Aufenthalt mit kleinen Kindern oder gehbehinderten (älteren) Menschen abzuraten. Der Garten ist groß und manchmal war es etwas schwierig die Sonnenstühle am Hang gerade hinzustellen. Aber die Terrasse mit Morgensonne ist ein Traum. Der Strand ist fußläufig 5 min entfernt (bergauf zurück dauert es etwas länger) und zum Baden ist er ungeeignet. Dafür kann man bei Ebbe wunderbare Entdeckungen machen. Wer kein haus von der Stange sondern etwas besonderes mit Charakter haben möchte liegt mit diesem Haus geneau richtig.
