Idyllic Swedish vacation home in a dream location directly on the lake, south of Gothenburg

A beautiful, peaceful lakeside location, right on the 23-kilometer-long Lake Lygnern; a detached house on a 1,200-square-meter natural lot, 45 kilometres southeast of Gothenburg.
A wooden deck with a glass railing wraps around the house, and you can see the lake from almost every room.
Right next to the living room, a steep staircase with aluminium steps (a safety gate is installed due to the risk to small children, but you can remove it if you wish) leads directly to the waterfront property. A few metres further on, however, you can easily step off the deck onto the lawn that leads down to the shore.
Because of the proximity to the lake, you feel as if you’re on a large ship.
The house, which is approximately 85 m² in size, has a double bedroom, a small single bedroom (a walk-through room connecting to the double bedroom), and a sofa bed for two people in the living room. If only one person wishes to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, a guest cot can be placed next to the bed in the single bedroom upon request.
The washing machine is located in the bathroom, which has a shower and toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a large refrigerator with
3 freezer drawers, an oven, an induction cooktop, a microwave, a coffee maker and a Senseo coffee machine, a kettle, a food processor, a toaster, a waffle iron, and a pantry cabinet for supplies.
High-quality stainless steel pots and pans, plenty of dishes and cutlery, as well as baking and tart pans, round out the furnishings.
In the living room, next to the sofa, there is a comfortable TV armchair with a footrest, and in front of the fireplace (guests are not permitted to light the fireplace) there is a wicker armchair with a footrest.
The oval, antique dining table with beautiful, comfortable cantilever chairs stands directly in front of the large glass door and window front leading to the spacious terrace overlooking the lake.
There is plenty of informational material available for guests on events, art, culture, and sports activities. You’ll also find a wide selection of non-fiction books and classic literature on the shelves.
Many games for “kids” and “adults” are available.
Right on the water is a wooden deck and a stone platform, ideal for swimming and fishing. Seating is provided there.
An aluminium rowing boat is available for guests’ use.
The neighbouring town of Sätila, with a supermarket, medical centre (including a pharmacy), savings bank, and restaurant, is only 6 km away.
From here, you can take a return cruise on the electric ferry “ISA av Lygnern” and explore the large lake with the 65-meter-high Ramhulta Waterfall.
Within a 25-km radius, you’ll find not only Sweden’s west coast with its enchanting archipelago landscape, but also many attractions such as Tjolöholm Castle, the old village of Äskhult, and the charming, up-and-coming small town of Kungsbacka with its typical Swedish wooden houses, cafés, and good restaurants, boutiques, and the large, modern “Kungsmässan” shopping centre with 90 stores and the Hede Fashion Outlet.
Seven golf clubs with 13 impressive golf courses are located within a 30-km radius.
Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city, is about a 40-minute drive away and offers not only many sights, restaurants, and shopping opportunities but also a wide range of cultural activities, including festivals and events such as the Culture Festival and Jazz Week in the summer.
A sightseeing tour on the “Paddan” boat is always worthwhile, and a must—especially for families with children—is a visit to the large amusement park “Liseberg.”
The holiday home is thus ideally located to meet all your wishes and needs within the immediate vicinity.
