About this property

Private RV Retreat with Deck on a Working Artist Property, 1 bed, Orland

Welcome to Quiet Coastal Basecamp, a cozy stationary RV stay on a quiet artist property in Orland, Maine.

This is a simple, peaceful place for one or two guests who want a comfortable home base while exploring the Maine coast. The RV includes a queen bed, private bathroom with shower, kitchen, indoor sitting space, and a shaded private deck that extends the living area outdoors. It is a good fit for travelers who like a quieter stay, nature, art, coastal drives, and a relaxed place to return to after the day’s adventures.

The RV is located on the property of Pajaritaflora, a small working artist studio/gallery. You may see artwork, gardens, studio activity, or seasonal creative projects around the property. The atmosphere is personal, quiet, and homegrown rather than resort-style.

Inside the RV, you’ll find the basics for a comfortable stay: queen bed, kitchen area, bathroom, dining/sitting space, and thoughtful simple supplies. The deck gives you room to sit outside, have coffee, read, eat, or rest after exploring. The awning is no longer in use, but two outdoor umbrellas are provided for shade when weather allows.

This stay is best for guests who are comfortable with the nature of an RV: smaller spaces, RV systems, mindful water use, and gentle use of doors, latches, plumbing, and fixtures. It is not a party place. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM.

Use this as a base for day trips around coastal Maine — Bucksport, Blue Hill, Castine, Deer Isle, Ellsworth, Bangor, Belfast, and Acadia-area adventures are all within reach by car.

I’m MaryAnn, an artist living and working in Orland, Maine. My studio/gallery, Pajaritaflora, is on the same property as my home and the RV rental. I make paintings, digital art, and small creative projects inspired by nature, peace, color, and the quiet creativeness of being alive.

I enjoy hosting guests who are looking for a peaceful, simple place to land while they explore the coast. This is not a resort-style property; it is my studio, home, garden, and creative working space. I like sharing the feeling of the place while also giving guests privacy in the RV and on the deck.

I’m happy to be helpful when needed, but I also respect that many guests come here to rest, wander, read, explore, or simply have a quiet basecamp.

Why they chose this property

I chose this area because Orland has a quiet, local Maine feeling while still being close to so many beautiful coastal places. It is a good base for exploring Bucksport, Blue Hill, Castine, Deer Isle, Ellsworth, Belfast, Bangor, and Acadia-area day trips.

What I enjoy most is the mix of woods, water, small-town life, and creative possibility. It feels peaceful without feeling too far away from things. There are coastal drives, local farms, trails, galleries, small shops, and places to explore in many directions.

This neighborhood is not busy or flashy. It is more about quiet mornings, birds, trees, changing light, and the slower rhythm of coastal Maine.

What makes this property unique

This is a private stationary RV stay on a home and working artist property. The RV has its own deck and guest space, while the larger property includes my home, studio/gallery, gardens, artwork, picnic tables, and a shared fire pit area on the studio grounds.

My home is between the RV and the studio area, so guests should expect a quiet, personal property rather than a secluded standalone rental. You may see me working in the studio, maintaining the grounds, or welcoming occasional studio visitors.

What makes the property special is the combination of privacy, creativity, and simplicity. It is a comfortable little basecamp with an artful, homegrown atmosphere — a place for travelers who enjoy quiet, nature, coastal exploring, and staying somewhere with a real person and a real creative life behind it.
