Complex:
Tucked away on a south-facing slope is the Villa am Sonnenhang, built in the traditional spa town style. The three cosy holiday apartments in the Villa am Sonnenhang are located in Göhren on a quiet side street. Not far from the apartments, you’ll find restaurants, cafés, and small shops perfect for strolling. When it comes to dining, Göhren has something for everyone—whether you’re in the mood for fresh fish, Italian cuisine, or hearty home-style cooking, every wish is sure to be fulfilled. The Baltic Sea resort also enjoys the advantage of having two beaches. You can choose between the North Beach, the livelier of the two, or the unspoiled South Beach. No matter which beach you choose, you’re sure to enjoy relaxing sunbathing or romantic walks along the shore.
For those who prefer a more comfortable experience, the “Rasende Roland” offers just the right option. From the narrow-gauge railway station in Göhren, you can travel via Baabe, Sellin, and Binz all the way to Lauterbach, taking in the island’s diverse natural landscape along the way. On this ride aboard the train—which has been in operation since 1895—you’ll also pass through the Baltic Sea resort of Sellin, for example.
There’s plenty to discover here. When the weather is nice, a visit to the 400-meter-long pier is almost a must. You can stroll for hours along the long Wilhelmstraße and enjoy the view of the open sea. If the weather is less favourable, you can visit the numerous department stores and shops or spend your time at the Ahoi! water park in Sellin. In addition to a beautiful swimming pool with whirlpools, a 100-meter slide, and an outdoor pool, the sauna area—featuring six different saunas—is a major draw for many guests. Hourly steam sessions, friendly staff, and a rooftop terrace make a visit an unforgettable experience. The monthly midnight sauna, in particular, is a true highlight.
Göhren and its diverse surroundings are prepared for any weather and offer a relaxing and varied holiday!
