Patchwork Acres, dog friendly with an amazing view of the Camas Prairie.
Welcome to Patchwork Acres
Escape to the countryside and experience the peace and beauty of Patchwork Acres, a family home originally built by my grandfather in 1971. We have lovingly preserved the spirit of the property, embracing his philosophy of using what the land provides. That connection to nature is reflected throughout the home, especially on the handcrafted front deck—the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or watch spectacular sunsets blaze across the sky over the breathtaking Camas Prairie.
Thoughtfully updated while maintaining its warm, welcoming charm, the home offers plenty of space for families, friends, and anyone looking to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Inside, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, a dedicated office with a futon, and a Murphy bed for additional sleeping space, comfortably accommodating larger groups. Two bedrooms feature queen beds, while the third offers a twin bed, giving everyone a cozy place to rest. The spacious living room is perfect for gathering after a day of adventure, and the large dining room invites everyone to share meals and make lasting memories. Modern luxury vinyl flooring throughout provides a clean, comfortable, and family-friendly space. The home also includes two bathrooms with refreshing showers and central heating and air conditioning to keep you comfortable in every season.
Step outside and explore 20 private acres filled with mature trees, open meadows, and a peaceful pond. Listen to birdsong as you sip your coffee, take an evening walk beneath the stars, or simply relax and soak in the quiet beauty of the surrounding landscape. Whether you’re seeking adventure or tranquility, this rural retreat offers the perfect escape.
We’re also happy to welcome your four-legged family members! Patchwork Acres is dog-friendly and features a fully fenced yard where your pups can safely run and play while you relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a weekend getaway with friends, a remote work retreat, or simply a chance to unplug and recharge, Patchwork Acres offers the space, comfort, and natural beauty to make your stay unforgettable.

About the host
Hosted by Shelby
We are sisters that wanted to share the beauty of our mountain home. The view of the prairie is amazing but the sunsets off the front deck and through the large living room windows are the best. Every sunset is unique and beautiful to watch.
Why they chose this property
Our grandfather built this house, completing it in 1971. He sourced his materials locally including a rock hallway that was built with the same rock he sourced to build the fireplace. The house is unique because of this and he picked such a beautiful site. There is a pond used for irrigation that is lovely to walk around. It is used to irrigate the property so it is not for swimming but is still a beautiful feature when going on walks on this 20 acre property.
What makes this property unique
The view over the Camas Prairie is wonderful but each evening the sky above the prairie lights up and gives the most beautiful sunset views.
