The surroundings are typically rural, but with good connections to the region's treasures. Mountain tours, mountain walks, skiing or even climbing, all these adventures more or less start at the front door. The ski bus stop is about 20 m from the house. 2 ski lifts, a night toboggan run and 2 good restaurants are about 150 m away, and the winter hiking trail and panoramic cross-country ski trail run right past the house. The 2 large Wildschönau ski areas Skijuwel Schatzberg Auffach and Markbachjoch Niederau are easily accessible by car
