Life here follows the rhythm of the land. Families love meeting our miniature donkeys, Highland cows, ponies, and peacocks, while couples find quiet corners in the orchards or along forest trails. Adventurers head into the Cibola National Forest or visit the historic Quarai Ruins, while others prefer lazy afternoons by the pool or evenings by the firepit.
Food is part of the experience. On weekends, join us for a hearty breakfast buffet; weekdays bring fresh, made-to-order meals. Our Mercantile shop is open daily for snacks, drinks, and local goods. Each fall, the orchards come alive with cider pressing, harvest traditions, and our famous donuts.
Guests tell us they arrive carrying the weight of daily routines and leave feeling lighter, more connected, and full of lasting memories. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a family adventure, or a solo retreat, you’ll find that the welcome is genuine, the pace is unhurried, and the mountains seem to wrap you in their calm.
- Year-round beauty: summer shade, fall colors, winter snow & spring blossoms
We’re the Dudley, Gemmer & Crabtree family — dreamers, doers, and animal lovers who call the Manzano Mountains home. In 2022, we opened the Mountain Retreat to share the beauty of our orchards, meadows, and animals with guests. Hosting weddings, retreats, and our annual Apple Harvest Festival has been a joy, and now we’re excited to welcome travelers into our glamping tents. Whether you’re here for peace, adventure, or connection, we’re honored to host you with warmth and New Mexico hospitality.
A stay here is more than a room — it’s an experience. Guests leave refreshed and lighter: kids roam free, couples reconnect, and friends gather under the stars. With farm animals, apple orchards, and endless trails, this amazing place offers a rare chance to slow down and embrace simple pleasures.
