High-quality fisherman's cottage with a patio and grill

Built in 1900, this historic, listed “Fischerhus” has been completely renovated and furnished to a high standard. It is situated in a quiet location in the centre of the idyllic fishing village of Wieck, surrounded by other traditional houses. The spacious terrace is perfect for barbecuing and relaxing in the sun.

Since the fishing village is situated on a peninsula, the water is only 150–200 metres away from the house in every direction. The unique Wieck wooden bascule bridge, which remains fully functional to this day, is located 200 metres from the house. In the spring and summer, the bridge is manually opened by bridge attendants every hour on the hour to allow the numerous yachts, sailboats, and traditional boats from Germany’s largest museum harbour to sail out into the open sea.

The area features numerous restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, and fish sandwich stands offering fresh fish directly from the fishermen at the harbour.

The holiday home is well-suited for families with children (cot, high chair, toilet seat, potty, games, books, etc.). A playground is just 50 metres from the house. The flat sandy beach—which features another playground and beach chair rentals in the summer—is only 350 metres away, accessible via the wooden drawbridge.

Right next to the wooden drawbridge is a boat rental service offering pedal boats, motorboats that don’t require a licence, and canoes, which you can use to take wonderful trips along the Ryck River all the way to city centre Greifswald or out onto the Bodden. The excursion boats Stubnitz and Breege, which stop at the harbour office and the wooden bascule bridge, also invite you to take trips along the Ryck River and out onto the Bodden.

Bicycles can be rented at the wooden bascule bridge. There are beautiful bike routes in the area. The Baltic Sea Cycle Route and the Way of St. James also pass through the town.

The house is easily accessible by public transport. Right at the train station, take bus line 2 (terminating at Wiecker Brücke) and ride to the last stop. Walk 300 metres across the bridge into the town centre to reach the holiday home. There are several direct connections daily from Berlin to Greifswald.

The historic fisherman’s cottage has been extensively renovated and furnished to a high standard. In 1900, it was one of the first fishermen’s houses with a tiled roof. Some of the old beams and parts of the half-timbered structure were preserved and meticulously reconstructed.

The house is located in the town centre and features a spacious terrace with barbecue facilities. The two assigned parking spaces are located right next to the house.

The lower level features underfloor heating. Here you’ll find a spacious entryway, the living room with a dining area and a smart TV, the kitchen with an additional dining area, and one of the two bathrooms, which includes a spacious walk-in shower and a toilet.

The fully equipped kitchen features a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a juicer, an induction cooktop, an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a kettle, an immersion blender, a coffee maker, a capsule coffee machine (Dolce Gusto), and a toaster. There is also an utility room with a washing machine and drying racks.

An oak staircase leads to the upper floor, which features a bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with a single bed and a desk (work area). The second bathroom, with a tub and toilet, is also located on the ground floor.

Another oak staircase leads to the attic, where there is a spacious family bed that is 3 metres wide.

The house is equipped with child-friendly amenities, including a high chair, a toilet seat, a cot, an extra-large family bed, and a step stool in the bathroom. Bed linens and towels are included in the price.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
