We offer a total of three holiday apartments (1st floor: approx. 45 sqm, garden apartment: approx. 35 sqm, and our TinyFlat with approx. 30 sqm of floor space and a loft bed) in a detached house in the countryside with approx. 8,000 sqm of fenced-in open space where your four-legged companion can roam freely. The apartments can be rented individually. They have separate entrances! Of course, you can rent the entire house or multiple apartments at the same time. There’s a sunroom with a pool table and foosball table that everyone can use equally.
The off-leash area is directly accessible from every apartment; each apartment has its own small fenced-in section—no leashes, no stress from unwanted encounters—just open the door and let the fun begin!

This apartment was completed in April 2023. We’ve created a little space-saving marvel here. Since the ceiling is relatively high, we came up with the idea of building a loft bed right up to the ceiling. The living area below consists of an open kitchen with a full kitchenette (including a ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer, Senseo coffee maker, as well as a kettle, a drip coffee maker, and a toaster—though no dishwasher...) including a small dining table and a corner couch where you can “lounge” and watch TV! A small wooden staircase leads to the sleeping area, and the bathroom is located under the stairs. There’s a glass-enclosed shower that’s visible from the kitchen and living area. If that’s not to your liking, you can adjust the privacy screen to make it less open. Everything is fitted with a non-slip, durable laminate floor, naturally with underfloor heating.
This apartment also has a small terrace with a table and two chairs for morning coffee.
The apartment is charming for newly in-love couples and ideal for a single person, especially if they have a dog or dogs.

At the end of 2013, what is now the Sonnenhaus Geestland was in poor condition. But the vast, wildly romantic property was wonderful—and for us, as dog lovers, the main reason for buying it. Here, dogs can run freely across 8,000 m² and sniff, bark, dig, run, and romp to their hearts’ content.
We completely renovated the building and brought it up to the very latest standards with solar technology, wood pellets, a ventilation system, triple-pane windows, and thermal insulation. Today, it’s a solar house that produces more energy than it needs. The energy transition has been achieved!

The 8,000-square-meter off-leash area is fully fenced and can be accessed directly from every apartment. Each apartment has its own small fenced-in area—no leashes required, no stress from unwanted encounters; just open the door and let the fun begin!

The town of Bad Bederkesa is about 2 km away. There you’ll find various shopping options, restaurants, the Moortherme with a sauna and saltwater thermal bath, and the historic castle is also worth mentioning. Beerster Lake, with its circular hiking trail, is also highly recommended for an active holiday with your dog.

In Dorum-Neufeld, about 25 km away, there’s a dog beach where, at low tide, you can take long walks—off-leash—in the mudflats—always a great experience for both humans and dogs!
Cuxhaven is about 40 km away, and Bremerhaven is about 25 km away.
In the immediate vicinity, the Natureum in Balje, the Wingst Zoo with its wolf enclosure, and the Moor Information Centre in Ahlenfalkenberg (to name just a few attractions) invite you to explore further.

What makes all of our apartments special is that we don’t limit either the number of dogs you’d like to bring on your holiday or the size of your furry friends. We’re very dog-friendly and love watching our four-legged friends dig, romp, run, and more. Maybe you feel the same way—just give it a try!
