About this property

Charming Country Cottage with Shared Garden

The Petite Maison de Pays in Hourtin is the perfect place for a holiday with your loved ones along the Vélodyssée route. This 60 m² house features a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom, accommodating up to six guests. Additional amenities include a washing machine, as well as books and toys for children.



Please note that guests are responsible for tidying up before departure. The property offers a shared outdoor space with a fenced 600 m² garden, ideal for enjoying the fresh air. The house is located 12 km from the ocean (10 minutes by car) and 2 km from Lake Hourtin (10 minutes by bike). Three parking spaces are available on the property, with free street parking nearby.



Up to three pets are allowed. Bed linen and towels are generally not provided. Please contact the host in advance if you need them; they may be available for an extra fee and if the house is left clean and tidy. Please note there is no air conditioning, Wi-Fi, or television.



You may use the fireplace if you bring dry wood. Waste sorting is appreciated. The house is not heated or well insulated; there is a single space heater to be turned off at night and when you are out. A small fan heater is available for the bathroom, but please do not use it at the same time as the main heater to avoid power cuts.



IMPORTANT: You may meet other guests, as there are two well-separated bedrooms. Please note this is a stopover cottage on the Vélodyssée route.

Passer son chemin

En arrivant dans le jardin a l’abandon, j’ai dit « pas d’inquiétude, les photos montrent un intérieur simple mais correct ». Eh bien non, la maison était a l’image du jardin, à l’abandon. Voire insalubre, étant donné les moisissures sur les murs et l’odeur désagréable dans toutes les pièces, en particulier la chambre avec un lit. Les photos prises en pleine lumière sont trompeuses. Nous avions réservé pour 2 jours. Nous ne sommes restés qu’un seul. Il est vrai que le prix de location défiait toute concurrence, ce qui me retiens d’exiger un remboursement. J’ai malgré tout laissé 2 étoiles pour une propreté suffisante et le strict minimum acceptable (frigo, eau chaude, matelas corrects, machine a laver). A moins d’être dans le besoin impérieux de faire un arrêt au sec et a moindre frais, passer son chemin
