In response to Vrbo's invitation to write a review on my stay at this studio, I am sad to report that it was a painful experience, which I chose to end before the end of the booking.I am a 75-year old former Red Cross official, and retired University professor. Writing a negative review is not something I do lightly. My stay was disappointing for two main reasons : the current state of this rental the responses from the host, when I brought up concerns. 1. Currently the studio is neither bright nor peaceful. Work on scaffoldings in the courtyard creates the following challenges : noise, lack of light, air pollution (dust from the work).2. Almost all of my concerns were met with little empathy by the host, Stephanie, Jonas' sister. Just two examples :The steps into the bathroom are a fall hazard; one step is cut diagonally, making it difficult to place both feet on that step. I fell and was badly bruised. A simple note posted on the wall - "attention à la marche" - would have alerted me to that step not being a complete one. Stephanie's response was that no previous guest ever fell.I struggled with the functioning of the radiator. Stephanie was not able to give me correct instructions, saying she had not used it since last Winter. For two nights I shivered. Eventually a neighbor helped me. No apology from Stephanie.I invite Vrbo's management to go over my emails w/ Stephanie, to learn more about my experience, as the review is limited to 1500 characters.
