Our holiday apartments are located in the former oil mill at the entrance to the campground. Two apartments on the ground floor have two bedrooms, while the two attic apartments have one bedroom each. All campground facilities are also available to guests staying in the apartments. These include, among other things, the swimming area in the river, the campfire sites, the tennis courts, and the laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. The apartments are not suitable for extended stays by construction workers. Our campground is located on the Mühlenanger, the grounds of the former 17th-century Landgrave’s mill. The Mühlenanger is an island in the Diemel River, surrounded by the millrace and the Diemel itself, idyllically situated at the foot of Trendelburg Castle. The Diemel Bike Trail runs right past the campground. The shallow water below the weir is a natural water playground; above the weir, at the traditional swimming spot for Trendelburg residents, you can enjoy swimming in the clean waters of the Diemel. The Diemel’s varied course makes it ideal for canoe trips. You can fish in the Diemel—even fly fishermen will find it to their liking. Trendelburg lies at the foothills of the Reinhardswald, which offers many hiking trails. The large tent field, set apart from the other campers, is ideal for groups; campfires are permitted there. For guests who prefer to stay in permanent accommodation, there are 4 holiday apartments available.
For our guests who prefer to stay in a “permanent house,” we offer 4 comfortably furnished holiday apartments for 2 and 4 people in a building right next to the campground. The cosy apartments are fully equipped and feature one or two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette, and a living room with a dining area. One bedroom in the four-person apartments has a double bed, while the other has a bunk bed.
