The room was modern and very clean, and the hosts were incredibly polite and responsive. They live on the property and were easy to reach whenever we had a question.I do think the listing could describe the space more clearly, especially for the price. Parts of the property still seemed to be undergoing renovations, and the balcony was open to the neighboring room rather than private. The shared areas also felt a little awkward to use because it wasn’t always clear which spaces or items were for guests and which were private.I appreciated the no-shoes rule, since I do the same at home. A bench near the entrance would make it easier to take shoes off, though. The stairs were also slippery in socks, so I’d recommend being careful on them.Quiet hours were described to us as starting at either 9 or 10 p.m., depending on whom we asked. If you’re planning to spend your evenings at the property or use the pool table, that’s worth keeping in mind. Overall, it’s a lovely room for guests who plan to explore Hoboken and want a clean, quiet place to sleep. I’d just suggest making the listing and house rules clearer so guests know what to expect.
