Are you looking for a cabin all to yourself? Then this cleverly renovated, self-catering cabin—where you’ll feel right at home and which has that perfect cabin charm—is just the thing for you. With 75 m² of living space, the cabin can accommodate 1 to 5 people. It’s cosy and secluded. This smoke-free cabin is available for rent year-round.

Put on your hiking boots and head straight out into nature. Starting at an elevation of 1,400 metres, climb the surrounding peaks—such as Gilfert, Kellerjoch, Kuhmesser, Gamsstein, or Sonntagsköpfl—and enjoy the mountain air. Hiking poles, a backpack, a headlamp, and a thermos are all available at the cabin. After your hike, you can truly unwind here—in the hammock or on the terrace. In the evening, fire up the laid-back grill, cook happily in the fully stocked wood-fired kitchen, laugh, play Mühle or chess, and enjoy life to the fullest in its simplicity and cosiness.

The forest cabin is your ideal starting point for winter hikes and snowshoe excursions, fun tobogganing (200 m to the toboggan run), ski tours, and alpine skiing at the lift. 

Not far away, just 2 km away, lies the small but charming “Kellerjoch” ski area, featuring family-friendly and sunny slopes up to approximately 1,900 m above sea level, as well as a ski school and two ski rental shops. For children ages 4 to 12, a free children’s ski course is offered Sunday through Friday for 2 hours each session (included for stays of 7 nights or more between Christmas and March 30).

• Swiss stone pine lounge: cosy sitting area, armchair with sheepskin, wood-burning stove with bench, additional sleeping space, infrared heating panel
• Bathroom & WC: Wooden bathtub crafted by Tyrol’s last barrel maker and wooden sink, hot water, hair dryer, towels
• In summer, there’s also an outdoor shower with hot water
• Solid-wood kitchen with rustic counter: electric stove (including oven), fridge-freezer, dishwasher, raclette grill, electric kettle, dishes, and general cooking utensils, thermoses
• Wood-burning stove and electric radiators
• Entertainment: CD radio, board games, playing cards, books, magazines
• Free Wi-Fi box available
• Outdoor area: Fountain, patio, balcony, lounge chairs, seating set, grill, natural pond, hammock

On-site fees: • No pets allowed. • Non-smoking cabin. • In summer, parking is available directly (80 m) below the forest cabin. • In winter, when there is snow, vehicle access is not possible—from the Hochpillberg car park, it’s a 1,000-meter idyllic walk through the winter forest to the forest cabin. Transport your luggage on an expedition sleigh (a speedy “pulka”).



Check-in is available from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and check-out from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
