Our RhönSchön holiday home is located below the Ebersburg Castle ruins and is part of the health resort town of Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe); it features two separate holiday apartments.
The Ebersburg holiday apartment offers you a beautiful view of the Hessian and Bavarian Rhön. From here, you’ll find ideal opportunities for excursions—for example, to Milseburg, Wasserkuppe, Guckaisee, the artists’ village of Kleinsassen, and Kreuzberg Abbey.
Day trips to nearby cities such as the Baroque city of Fulda, the spa town of Bad Kissingen, or Bad Brückenau are also highly recommended and easily accessible.

Shopping options and local and international restaurants are about a 5-minute drive away.

The “Ebersburg” apartment on the ground floor spans two levels and covers 130 square metres. The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen with an adjoining open-concept dining and living area featuring a wood-burning stove. There are also two bedrooms and a guest bathroom on this floor.

On the upper floor is the third bedroom with a wonderful view of the Wasserkuppe, as well as a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with a shower, tub, and toilet. Bed linens and towels are included in the price.

On the west and south sides, a continuous, covered balcony offers a relaxing and wonderful view of the Hessian and Bavarian sections of the Rhön. Here you can start and end your days.

Furthermore, the beautifully landscaped garden features a cosy terrace with a barbecue area.

A separate, lockable garage is available for bicycles you bring with you.

A free parking space is available in front of the house.

The price is for four people; each additional guest is charged €40 per night.
