About the host
Hosted by Isaiah
I’m a lifelong local who grew up just a short distance from the cabin, so this area and property mean a great deal to me. I’m a husband, father, and local business owner, and I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible—fishing, hunting, working on the land, and exploring the mountains and waterways of Virginia. This cabin was hand-built by my grandfather and was my grandparents’ home throughout my childhood. I’ve worked to preserve its character while making it comfortable for guests, and I’m excited to share a place that’s been such an important part of my family’s story.
Why they chose this property
I chose this area because it has always been home to me. I grew up nearby, and this cabin has been part of my family for as long as I can remember. My grandfather hand-built the cabin, and my grandparents lived here throughout my entire childhood. I have countless memories of time spent here with them and exploring the surrounding woods. Restoring the cabin and sharing it with guests is a way to preserve a special piece of our family’s history while giving others the opportunity to enjoy the peaceful corner of Virginia that I grew up loving.
