I booked this apartment for 12 nights and paid in full through Expedia. Before arrival, the host moved all communication to WhatsApp and asked for photos of both sides of my ID card and a screenshot proving payment, even though he confirmed he could see the payment on Expedia. The night before check-in, he asked for an extra payment for "renovation". Vrbo confirmed in writing that nothing further was due. When I refused, the host withdrew the request. On arrival, the caretaker was not on site and I was directed by phone via a petrol station and a plaza. The building appeared to still be under construction, with no reception or staff. I did not feel comfortable staying, so I left the same day and returned the key the next day. The host has refused any refund, saying I used the apartment for two nights. I would not recommend this apartment. I would also advise others to keep all communication and payment on the platform.
