Salmon Valley Guest Ranch - Cozy 3 bedroom cottage

Come stay in the cottage at our 13.5 acre family homestead south of Salmon Arm, BC. Relax with friends, family or spouse at this quiet place we call home. Our cottage is complete with kitchen, 3 bedrooms, bathroom, laundry pair. We are close to some of the best dirt biking, skiing, hiking trails & fishing lakes in the interior. Guests are welcome to visit our furry and feathered friends including goats, pigs, turkeys, highland steer & chickens.





The space

Spread out in our cozy 3-bedroom cottage on the same quiet 13.5-acre homestead — room for family or friends, full kitchen, and the ranch right outside your door.





Up to 8 guests. Farm animals, local trails and waterfalls, skiing/fishing nearby. Horseback on request.





Guest access

The lawn in front of the cottage (below) is a space available to you and your group and is not a shared area with our family. You might see Scott, our robot lawnmower tending to the grass, he’s quiet though so keep an eye out!





Please note that the lawn area is sloped matching the contours of our property. Feel free to go see the animals in their run beside our home.





New this spring and summer (2026), we are adding some more furry friends to our pasture. Rumor has it, there might be some alpacas and Scottish Highland cows joining the farm!





Please note the horses pictured are not on our property but are available to ride for lessons and trail rides!

We needed a place to stay for a weekend wedding in Yankee Flats. This was the perfect location and, though basic accommodations, had everything we needed and at the right price! The beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-outfitted, and the whole place was very clean. Our kids loved playing with the toys, the extensive board game and DVD collections, having their own bedrooms, and watching the goats and pigs right outside our door. We felt welcome to explore the property. Recommended if you're in the area!

4 of us had a GREAT time here on our 20yr reunion getaway. It was a very special trip for us.The cottage was immaculate when we arrived. Top to bottom clean. Plenty of towels and pillows so I was very happy. Kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of the Keurig during our stay.The host Mitch was wonderfully communicative. Anytime we asked him something we had a prompt reply immediately. The cottage itself was FANTASTIC. It seemed bigger on the inside. 4 nice beds. Chess/checkers table that we used a lot! Lots of books and games. A nice little movie selection. Smart TV with a strong WiFi connection. We could stream just fine from all our apps.Admittedly apprehensive at first, as we'd been trying to plan something a little more private for our reunion. The reality of the front door proximity to the front of the hosts home was a little jarring for us at first. This is really the only issue we had at all with the rental. The front door seems about 20-30ish feet from the hosts front door and there were only curtains in the bedrooms. This ended up being mostly a non issue luckily, and actually worked out for us when we ran out of propane on the bbq and the hosts wife noticed right away from her window and had us set up with a full one within minutes . Hate to leave anything negative but it would have been helpful to be made aware that children would be frequently lingering in front of the cottage. As smokers there were a lot of fun conversations stopped short.
