The Meerleben house in Harlesiel was completed in the spring of 2023 by shipowner couple Inge and Dieter Albrecht on the largest platform of all “Seeperlen,” which are firmly anchored to the ground on piles driven up to 18 metres deep.

The project arose from the idea of building homes on the Harle River, in the immediate vicinity of the North Sea coast, as so-called “Seeperlen” (lake pearls)—a construction project unique in Germany. The exclusive “Ebbe & Flut” holiday apartments, rated 5 stars by the German Tourism Association (DTV), are located in the sheltered inland harbour of Harlesiel and can be reached from land via a bridge or from the water via a private boat dock.

Thanks to the platform extending far into the Harle River, our guests enjoy a unique panoramic view stretching from the Friedrichsschleuse lock to the Harlesiel marina. The two stylishly furnished holiday apartments, “ebbe” and “flut,” each accommodate up to 4 people. They are characterised by their particularly spacious layout. The ground-floor apartment, “ebbe,” is wheelchair-accessible and offers the highest level of comfort across 97 m². To the west, there is a 35 m² terrace, part of which is covered. The “flut” apartment is located on the upper floor and offers guests 89 m² of comfortable living space. The spacious, west-facing balcony promises a unique view.
