About this property

Cabin 8: Two Bedrooms, One Great Escape

Cabin 8 is a two-bedroom cabin, a comfortable home base for families, friends, and couples traveling together who want to enjoy the beauty of Silver Lake while having the comforts of home.

With two full-sized beds, Cabin 8 gives you a little more room to spread out while enjoying a peaceful setting surrounded by trees and nature. The cabin includes a full kitchen, bathroom, linens, and kitchenware, so you can settle in, prepare your own meals, and enjoy your stay without having to pack everything from home.

Step outside and you'll find one of the best parts of Cabin 8: your own outdoor space. A lawn, picnic table, and fire pit are right in front of the cabin, creating an inviting place to sit back and enjoy the outdoors. Have your morning coffee on the lawn, enjoy lunch at the picnic table, or spend the evening relaxing outside and taking in the peaceful surroundings.

Cabin 8 also offers a view of Silver Lake, giving you a glimpse of the water and the natural beauty that makes the Resort special. The combination of trees, lawn, lake views, and easy access to the rest of the Resort makes this cabin a great choice for guests who want both privacy and convenience.

And because Cabin 8 is part of Silver Lake Resort, you don't have to simply look at the lake—you can get out on it.

Bring your own kayak, paddleboard, canoe, or other watercraft and launch it right here at the Resort. Or, if you prefer to travel light, rent one of our watercraft and spend some time exploring Silver Lake from the water. Paddle along the shoreline, enjoy the scenery, or simply find a quiet spot to relax and take in the view.

Whether you're planning a family getaway, a weekend with friends, or simply looking for a comfortable place to stay while exploring the Mount St. Helens area, Cabin 8 puts you close to the lake and right in the middle of the Silver Lake Resort experience.

Cabin 8 is also a great option for larger family groups or friends traveling together. Because Cabins 8 and 9 are right next to each other, you can reserve both and create an even more spacious gathering area for your group. And if you really want to make the most of the space, why stop at two? Reserve Cabins 7, 8, and 9 together. All three cabins are situated around the lawn, giving your group a natural shared outdoor space where everyone can gather, relax, and enjoy the lake setting while still having their own cabin to retreat to.

Ember and Alan were awesome hosts- they gave great suggestions of things to do in the area, showed us pictures of the mountain from the resort, and were super accommodating. Make sure to rent a boat and go out on the lake while you’re here. 10/10 would stay here again!

Silver Lake Resort traces its roots back to 1927, when the property first became a destination for people looking to enjoy the lake, the outdoors, and the beauty of the Mount St. Helens area. Over the decades, the Resort has been cared for and operated by a number of families, each adding its own chapter to the story of this special place.

Today, we are proud to continue that tradition as a family-run resort. In fact, we're already looking ahead to 2027, when Silver Lake Resort will celebrate its 100th anniversary! Nearly a century of families, guests, memories, fishing trips, campfires, boat rides, and time spent together—that's a pretty remarkable history.

When you stay at Silver Lake Resort, you're not just staying at a cabin or motel. You're becoming part of a place that has welcomed families for generations. Our goal is to honor that history while continuing to make the Resort a place where today's guests can slow down, enjoy the lake, explore the area, and create memories of their own.
