The villa is in Barbâtre, Plage du Midi, on the south coast of the island of Noirmoutier. It overlooks a private dead end, quiet, 150 meters from a large sandy beach, ideal for swimming, sunbathing and water sports.

It is divided into 2 parts, totally independent.
The rented apartment is on the first floor but you keep access to the garden, (400 m2) whose lower part is reserved for you, with its garden furniture (table, chairs, chairs, barbecue, deckchairs) at your free disposal . When nobody occupies the ground floor apartment, you can use, exceptionally, the terrace.

Your accommodation includes 3 main rooms: living room, 2 large bedrooms, (you can see the sea windows of the living room and a bedroom) entrance, kitchen (many cupboards) with integrated appliances, (hob mixed, electric oven , dishwasher, fridge / freezer, washing machine) shower room with bath, separate toilet.
All floors are tiled and the walls are painted white and blue. (seaside style decoration)

The sleeping possibilities and the furniture are planned for 5 to 7 people. (1 double bed in bedroom I, 3 beds including 2 pull-out beds, in bedroom II, a sofa bed in the living room)

The house has been completely renovated in 2018 (extension and terrace on the garden level, modification of partitioning rooms and all interior architecture, painting, tiles, plumbing, sanitary, kitchen, appliances, heating, sound and heat insulation , furniture, ...) to bring it up to current standards of comfort and ergonomics.

Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, (big screen) refrigerator, hob, oven, major appliances (kettle, toaster, ...) and most accessories cooking (casserole minute, done-all, pans, ...) are new or very recent.

The garden is organized on 2 levels. The soil is sandy and covered with grass, typical vegetation of the island. This grass, cut each year in May / June, can be high in the spring and shaves the winter and summer, especially when it is hot.

The island of Noirmoutier is connected to the mainland by a bridge.

It has an extensive network of footpaths and cycle paths (cycles can hire locally). Hikes, on foot or by bike, through the marshes of the Epine, in the ornithological reserve of Mullembourg, in Noirmoutier, in the nature reserve of Barbâtre, in the various woods of the Island, are strongly recommended.

Shore fishing is very widespread (cockles and clams in Gois, shrimps in front of the Villa prawns in La Fosse and wild oysters and shellfish (mussels) to the Guérinnière at Viel and Herbaudière, ...).

Sea fishing (gray bream, bass, pollack, eel, ...) is, also, very nice. For practice, you can rent on site one boat or in groups.

The practice of all water sports are widely available. Sailing schools abound. It is possible to rent (by the hour, by the day or for longer periods) sport catamarans and windsurfers from several clubs on the island. There is also a Kite-changing school renowned 6 km from the villa.

Boats, including tall ships can embark, from the Pit, Fromentine, the old port of Noirmoutier or port Herbaudière for mini cruises to Ile d'Yeu, Pornic, the Pillar island tours or Bourgneuf Bay.

Swimming on the main beaches does not present any particular danger. Noirmoutier also has a modern aquatic center with several pools (indoor and outdoor) water slides, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, ...

There are two beaches where naturism is tolerated, including one close to the house.

There are also many cultural distractions: Salorges shows, castle of Noirmoutier twelfth century museum of popular traditions, old town of Noirmoutier with, in particular, the main street and the district of Banzeau, villas of the nineteenth century Wood of the Chaize, salt museum, marine aquarium, miniature village, breeding of rare butterflies, ...
