Sometimes it doesn’t take much to get away from it all. A quiet morning with a cup of coffee on the terrace, the view across the vast meadows, a walk along the dike, and perhaps an outdoor film in the evening. That’s exactly what this tiny house is designed for. Here, you’re right in the middle of nature. Through the large windows and from the terrace, you have a sweeping view of meadows and fields. When the wind sweeps through the blades of grass and grain, they sway gently in waves. In the spring, the grass is fresh and green; later, the grain fields gradually turn golden yellow. With a little luck, you can spot deer, rabbits, or various birds right from the house. The landscape changes with every season and has its own charm at every time of year.

The Tiny House is located directly on the Grüner Deich within the grounds of the Elborado Resort and in the heart of the Lower Saxony Elbe Floodplain Biosphere Reserve. Here, nature and human life go hand in hand as a matter of course. Fields and meadows are cultivated, animals graze on the dike, and at the same time, there are valuable habitats for local wildlife. You’ll have your own little retreat while still being able to enjoy everything the Elborado Resort has to offer. If you’re travelling with friends or as a larger family, you can book multiple houses. That way, everyone has their own peaceful retreat with privacy, yet you can still spend time together. The Green Dike begins right outside your door. Beyond it, paths wind through meadows and fields and along the Elbe. You can explore the surroundings on foot or by bike and simply set off whenever you like. The Elbe offers many small, unspoiled spots where you can sit on the bank with a blanket to read or have a picnic. In the summer, you can also take a dip there to cool off. Alternatively, the Inselsee in Scharnebeck or the Waldbad Alt Garge are located in the immediate vicinity. Picnic gear and a beach mat are provided for your little outings. There’s also plenty more to discover. You can hike through the Elbe floodplain, go canoeing or kayaking, visit the Biosphaerium in Bleckede, or take a ride on a handcar. A boat ride on the Elbe is a wonderful way to experience the landscape from a different perspective. Lauenburg is also worth a visit, with its historic half-timbered houses, narrow alleys, and location right on the Elbe. And sometimes it’s the chance encounters along the way that make a trip special: a stork in a meadow, sheep on the dike, cows in the pastures, or a deer that suddenly appears by the path.

Inside the Tiny House, you’ll find a cosy and beautifully furnished retreat. The separate bedroom features a comfortable double bed, while the open living area is perfect for cooking, reading, and relaxing. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, induction cooktop, mini-oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and a Sjöstrand coffee maker. The bathroom features a comfortable rain shower. Yoga mats and blocks are provided for a peaceful start to your day. A special highlight is the portable projector with a screen. You can use it to stream your favourite shows and get cosy indoors. When the weather is nice, you can take the screen outside and enjoy your film night on the terrace. Here, you can also enjoy a leisurely breakfast or, later on, make yourself comfortable in the cosy lounge and enjoy the sunset over the fields. A grill and fire pit are available for a cosy evening. You can also reserve the sauna on the Elborado grounds exclusively for yourselves for an additional fee. A visit to one of the farm stands is also worthwhile to pick up regional products for breakfast, dinner, or the barbecue. On the Elborado grounds, there’s also a self-service kiosk that provides you with the essentials for your stay at any time of day or night. For groups, there are also meeting spaces and a bowling alley.

The Elbe River Valley is beautiful in every season and always reveals a different side of itself. Sometimes you’ll sit outside for hours in the summer; other times, fog will blanket the meadows in the morning, or you’ll watch the hoarfrost slowly melt away in the sun on a cold morning. And sometimes, you don’t really have to do anything here at all. Just arrive, let the day unfold at its own pace, and see what feels right at the moment.
