This is a great spot for fishing and relaxing. The house is comfortable, the deck is great for your outdoor gear, and use of the kayaks was fun for the whole family.

This place was exactly what I was looking for..Quiet lake, great bass fishing and the cabin was just gorgeous. Waking up every morning to sit on the deck, drink coffee and watch the hummingbirds and lake was just wonderful. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. This place is pet friendly! Our dogs loved the lake.

Quiet and relaxing
Great well appointed and roomy place. Lake is very quiet and beautiful. Though it is not a deal breaker by any means, a small motor for the boat would be great for the Fishing enthusiast. Definitely on our short list for consideration again next year.

Chad,
Thank you for the review. You are welcome back anytime.
We would love to provide a motor for the rowboat, however, the cost of insurance is our hinderence. We would need commercial insurance for any motorized boat, which would not be cost effective for anyone.
Anyone renting the rowboat is welcome to bring their own motor or rent one and bring with to put on our boat.

The cottage is very cute, well equipped, and in a great location. We caught lots of bass from the dock, and rented their kayaks and row boat to explore the lake. The public beach is a quick walk or paddle, and has a nice sandy bottom.
We saw loons, Sandhill cranes, turtles, deer, a very friendly chipmunk, and more.
It's a long way to a grocery store, so be sure to bring everything you need!

Great Week
We had a very comfortable and peaceful week at the lake. The cottage is well-equipped, the deck and pier wonderful venues for enjoying the lake. Master bedroom is spacious and bed very comfortable. One thing to note is there is no air conditioning but we had pleasant breezes up until the very day we left. Not a problem at all for us. Great place to stay.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at LLT Lake Camp. We will be looking into the air conditioning problem soon. We enjoyed the note you left on all the activities you did during your stay! You are welcome back anytime!

The house was good, the garden really nice. And the view wonderfull. The lake is not ideal for swimming, there is a lot of seaweed even towards the beach. We find it unfortunate that bed sheets, linens, boats are not included in the price of the house.

Thank you for your review.
Unfortunately, shortly around the 4th of July, the lake developed weeds that are native to WI. They are new to our lake and they took over areas near the beach. We are working with the DNR on this issue currently. Sorry for the inconvenience. We have been told the weeds may or may not return next year. We will try to ensure they will not.
Thank you.

We rented this property to spend time with family fishing and swimming. Fishing was good, although there are high mercury levels so fish shouldn't be consumed. That was a disappointment, as well as all the weeds making the swimming area small. There are no pictures showing any weeds. The cabin is very nice, with awesome updates.

Laurie, Thank you for your rating. Basically you want to stay away from eating the larger fish. Full details on what fish and in what quantity to consume can be found on the DNR website. The weeds at the swimming beach did increase this year unfortunately. The Lake Association is planning to harvest (cut) these weeds for the 2024 swim/boating season with the approval of the DNR. Glad you like our remodel! Luann
Exactly what we were looking for, for our memorial weekend 4 wheeling trip!
Plenty of parking for trailers, great location for 4 wheeling, enjoyed the fire pit and lake view. Only complaint was the fridge went out, we had plenty of cooler space from bringing up food, just had to make runs for ice throughout the weekend. Which there was a place close by. The owners stopped by to see about fixing, but weren't able to get it working. So next renter should have a brand new fridge!!
We are hoping to stay here again in the future!

Amazing weekend away
This cabin was amazing! It was very clean and nicely kept. The patio was awesome, it has a little chimney fire place which was very nice to have a fire in and also has a very nice gas grill that we used a lot. There was also a very nice fire pit down by the lake as well. The pier was great to fish off of and the rowboat worked well. The dogs absolutely loved the water and running around the yard! Luann and Tim were awesome they took time out of their day on Sunday to give us a ride on the pontoon and told us about the lake. We also loved the sunrises over the lake well worth getting up at 5am for :). It was a great weekend in the woods on a beautiful lake.

Hi Liz,
We are happy to hear you had such a great time at our cabin!
We had fun on the pontoon as well. We would love to have you back anytime.
Fall is also a great time up here in the northwoods. There are a lot of rustic roads to travel to view the changing leaf color.
Keep us in mind for your future travels!

Our family of 4 and my parents stayed at this cottage for a relaxing 1 week vacation. We had a wonderful time Fishing, Kayaking, and Floating/Swimming. This small lake was perfect to let the kids (12 and15) go out on their own and explore. There are not many cottages on the lake and we felt like it was our own little hideaway. We saw lots of different wildlife; from the baby bobcat that visited the deck, to the loons on the water, and the eagle flying overhead. The weather was mostly good and when it wasn't we had plenty of room and things to do inside. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back again.
Thank you,
Such a great property, many more amenities than described. Lake view from house (especially kitchen) and deck are beautiful. We had super spotty cell phone reception (almost none inside the house) but that was very appealing to us (and also common in all other listings we looked at in the area). We were able to takr our dog which was wonderful. There were a lot of mosquitos but non-deet bigspray was effective enough for us to keep the mosquitos away. We rented a kayak and brought our own paddleboard for the lake. Went out every day, shared the lake with some fishermen boats but ver sporadically, otherwise had the lake to ourselves. The host was very receptive and easy to contact. The binder inside the cabin tells you everything you need to know. Could not reccomend more!

Peaceful and beautiful!
Great place to get away for a family vacation! The house itself is a good size and is well taken care of. There was total of 7 of us and we had no problem fitting in there. The yard is simply beautiful and spacious! You can oversee the dock and lake right of the dining room! The sunrise and sunset is awesome to look at! Fishing Of the dock is great! (No luck fishing but still enjoyable). Listening to bullfrogs at night by bonfire just adds to the great outdoor mood. Watching hummingbirds is incredible! They flew in every few minutes and were pretty close. There are great hiking, bicycle and atv trails! We rented atvs from a town nearby and had a blast!! We had a very poor reception and no wifi but honestly i loved it! We used the phone just for pictures and enjoyed every minute of it! Definitely a place to come back to!

Marcin,
We are glad you enjoyed our lake cottage!
Depending on what cell service you have, reception can be spotty. With my phone, I find that if I stand at the end of the pier I get pretty good reception.
CJ's Bar down the road has Free WIFI if needed. We like that our guests get out and enjoy the Northwoods!
You are WELCOME back anytime!!
Take Care!

We had 5 in our party, including my 2 grandchildren, ages 2 and 4. The cabin/home itself was very nice and we all had our own bedroom. Fishing was good right off the pier for pan fish. We did not keep any of the fish as fishing was mainly for the learning opportunity/fun activity of my 4 year old grandson. Later on the last day of our stay, as I re-read the Cabin handbook, I read of Mercury in the lake, and what fish to eat, and not to eat, and how often. I was double glad we decided to throw them all back in. There was a beach 3-4 properties away which we used. The water was nice, but a little dirty and we only used it once. While the cabin/property was very nice, we found the location not quite to be what we needed with the 2 grandkids. We traveled an hour to locations that offered more kid-friendly activities. The lake/beach in Laona offered a solution for swimming. The beach was very nice, and it had a playground as well. We did enjoy the Fish fry in Long lake, just 15 minutes north on 139. All in all, it was a great vacation, great get-a-way.

The property is great, comfortable, and well equipped. The area is also great. Amenities are scattered and a little distant but I came to the "North Woods" to get some space. This is our 2nd year staying there. We have nothing but good feelings re the property. The owners, soley Luanne, was very responsive to our questions and general communication. As a nature photographer the area couldn't be better for my area of interest. Unfortunately the weather was poor 5 out of 6 days. Can't fault the owners for Mother Nature's behavior. I still accomplished my photographic goals. My author wife read and wrote. As a note: There is no WiFi, the Dish was not cooperating, and there is a DVD, but not Blu-Ray player. Cellphone service was a little intermittent, you are Up North. My wife went out on the deck to effectively use her phone. You can decide if those are negatives. We were fine and had a great but wet time.

Kurt & Susan,
I am happy to hear you had a great stay despite the weather. The DISH TV issue has been resolved after going through a few hoops. They ended up putting up a 2nd dish to hit a separate satellite. I will be looking at changing out the DVD player for a Blue-Ray player. Any tips to improve are greatly appreciated!
Hope to see you guys back again next year, you are welcome anytime!

A nice little get away at a luxurious cottage on the lake!
This property was almost perfect! Luann was great with communication and the property is absolutely beautiful with a lot of awesome updates! The only complaints I have which are obviously no fault of the owners, but the lake is disgusting and as listed by the owner, there is an outbreak of water shield which was a bummer. The beach is a short distance away as listed but the beach was pretty gross too and was a disappointment. Again not the owners fault! They do have kayaks and a paddleboard for rental but unfortunately there is no real safe way to get into the kayaks/paddleboard as the property is on a rocky ledge where it meets the water and where there is a slope to get in the water with cement and a wooden board, the there is an old pontoon right there and in the way making access difficult. Also it's VERY slippery getting in at that spot. I was able to get in to kayak and paddeboard but almost got hurt every time. Unfortunately my husband was not able to get into the kayaks at all due to how awkward/unsafe it was getting in. He didn't want to risk getting hurt. So that was a bummer not to be able to utilize the kayaks as planned for both of us. We did see a lot of reviews of good fishing right off the dock which was a big pull for us to stay at this property but unfortunately we did not catch a thing off the dock. I thought I'd have better luck out on the kayak but only caught a handful of tiny sunfish. Still fun but just not what I expected based on the reviews.

About the host
Hosted by Luann Doll
This was purchased as a joint venture, between myself (and husband Pat), bestie Lisa and Pat's cousin Tim (also know as tool time Tim, Cabana Boy, and garage boy. lol
Why they chose this property
This property is located a short distance from a cabin owned by my husband's family. Property went up for sale when the economy took a turn for the worse. We would drive by it every time we went to our cabin and finally Lisa said, let's check out that cottage...and here we are.
What makes this property unique
The 3 bedrooms, full bath and dining room have been remodeled. The walls are now log and have hardwood floors and/or new carpet. It is just beautiful. We plan to continue to remodel the rest in time. The cottage is ready for rent!!! The lake is quiet and you won't see much boat traffic, it is a small lake. You can enjoy the loons from the dock, or listen to them calling from inside the cottage. The sunrise is OUTSTANDING... if you can get up that early to see it. I know some of you can!
