Guest Rooms "König-Max-ll" and "Ludwig-Thoma"

The "Gästezimmer Beim Posthalter" is located in Oberammergau and offers beautiful views of the Alps. You will have a connected unit on the 3rd floor (no elevator), always rented to one group: 2 double rooms each with a double bed, a shared bathroom in the hallway, a TV room, and a lounge with access to a private balcony. Wi-Fi and TV are available. The 90 m² unit accommodates 2 to 4 guests. One guest room is heated; the second is not. Therefore, from October through April, only the heated double room with bathroom is available. Please note: Children aged 2 and above pay the full rate, and from the third guest, an additional charge applies.

Public transport is within walking distance. After dining at local restaurants and exploring the shops, you should catch an impressive show at the Passion Theater and then rent a bike to discover the picturesque Ammergau Alps Nature Park. Don’t miss the fantastic hiking opportunities in this stunning area!

Our family appreciated the unique layout of this historical property, especially the wonderful front balcony over the downtown. Beds were comfortable and we could walk to many restaurants and bakeries. Hosts were very friendly and offered little extras like waters, juices and beer from the family brewery.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The city location was a delight. The lodging is very old with countless steps. If I had known we would be lodging on the third floor with no elevator I would have chosen a different place. We were traveling with my 90 year old mother. Communication with the host was difficult when we arrived. We could not connect with her on the phone number provided. Later on she was a delight to visit with.
