Needed short rental in Cannes and Ron delivered. Accommodated my last minute request. And don’t miss the seafood restaurant downstairs and to the left. Delicious

Outdoor space was the real selling point. Kitchen was well stocked with full sized fridge, drip coffee maker, etc. 1-1/2 bathrooms was very helpful and bedrooms clean and airy. Location was absolutely perfect. The 3 flight climb became easier as the week continued. Owner responsiveness was extraordinary - answered on the first ring and kept in touch. I would definitely rent this apartment again.
Excellent and conveniently close to everything including the train.
You couldn’t ask for a better location. Very clean with perfectly adequate amenities. including a nice balcony. Close to all restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. Only 10 minutes walk to the train which is the fastest, smartest and least expensive way to get to anyplace in the entire region. A car is not needed and is more trouble than it’s worth. It’s a 3rd floor walk up which is not really difficult, but not so good for those whose health or mobility is compromised.

Great time in Cannes Summer 2016
We arrived in Cannes by car from Denmark and the Supervisor Nick was kind enough to meet us in the doorway. The place was beautiful and it accommodated us (5 adults) perfectly. There was enough space that we didn't feel we were all over each other. The apartment was close to everything from the beach to the shops to the restaurants. We hated to leave, but when we come back we will definitely stay here. It was gorgeous and typically French.
Ron, thanks for everything.
Best, your Danish connection😎

Henning, it was a great pleasure to welcome you and your family. We enjoyed helping you plan your visit to Cannes. It sounds like our advice and off the beaten path recommendations didn't disappoint. We've noticed that in this wild-west of apartment rentals that guests appreciate more and more renting an apartment that is managed by professionals who have the experience and skill to ensure cleanliness, quality, and service. It costs us a little more but when we read reviews like yours we know it is worth it. See you next summer. Ron
The location was excellent, I attended a meeting at the Palais and the location was outstanding. As a single female traveler I felt very safe. I am picky when it comes to cleanliness and overall condition and this apartment exceeded my hopes. I will absolutely plan to stay again - there are several restaurants located steps away and were excellent, the access to the water and shopping - all great. The décor is adorable and the owner was very responsive and truly cared that I was prepared for the stay. I enjoyed a bottle of wine - and meant to replace it. My apologies! :) I will definitely stay again and would recommend this with confidence. I was not aware (though my friend said this is something to expect of any walk-up apartment in France), make sure you find a light switch on the stairway because it was otherwise pitch black dark in the evening. My mistake, but you may want to include that in the overall summary/instructions.

Excellent stay in October 2011
This apartment was just perfect for my wife and I. The place is in front of all the things that are happening in Cannes. If your loking for a place that has the old charm in an area with the real people this is it. My first morning I awoke very early and walked around the corner to find one of the most amazing huge farmers markets loaded with fresh vegatables, meats and fruits that I would have never believed could be found in Mid October. There is a sea food restruant in front the apartment building that is one of the best in Cannes. We drove to Tuscany Italy for a business meeting and noticed the appartment is only a couple hour drive to the hot spots on the Italian Riveria. Thanks for sharing your home with us and the offer to sample your personal wine collection. Oh if you park in the public parking garage they do lock it up at night, I look back now and laugh at how horrified my wife and I were at 3am trying to tell the guard ( with a french phrase book) that we needed our car now to catch our flight.
P.S. It pays to advertise, when in the Northwest USA visit our log cabin. http://www.vrbo.com/262129

Thank you Roger, we really enjoyed helping you plan your visit to Cannes and we are delighted it worked out so well.
This is a great apartment for people/families looking to spend some time in Cannes. It's simple and affordable with an amazing location - steps from the brilliant Marche Forville open-air market, one block away from the charming old town street Rue Sainte Antoine, 5 minutes walk from the Palais and the public beach, and right above great seafood restaurants.
The apartment was spacious enough for our family of 5. The highlight of the apartment was the gorgeous terrace overlooking the quaint shopping street Rue Meynadiar. We really enjoyed the large terrace having breakfast, lunch and dinners or just seating to chat or read a book. Plus, you can see the clock tower in the old town through the charming rooftops. Each room has a nice, firm, king bed and doors that open to the terrace. There is plenty of closet space and a standalone AC unit. The extra W/C is a bonus when travelling with friends or work companions.
Our host Ron was very attentive by email. His instructions were very clear. Those few times I had questions he was very quick to respond and to help us. I was really impressed with his professionalism and kindness.
This apartment has got everything you need to have a lovely time in Cannes and the location can't be beat.
I would definitely book this place next time we vacation in Cannes.
Thanks Ron for your great hospitality.

Lovely apartment near the old town
This is a great little apartment for people looking to spend some time in Cannes, or attend one of the many conferences in town. It's simple and affordable with an amazing location - steps from the brilliant Marche Forville open-air market, one block away from the charming old town street Rue Sainte Antoine, 5 minutes walk from the Palais and the public beach, and right above great seafood restaurants (which, depending on how adventurous your spirit can be a plus or minus - you walk past the prep kitchens of these restos to get to the apartment and it can be a bit, well, fishy smelling).
The apartment itself has a gorgeous terrace overlooking the quaint shopping street Rue Meynadiar, and while there is no sea view, it's nice and quiet for sleeping. Plus, you can see the clock tower in the old town through the charming rooftops. Each room has a nice, firm, king bed and doors that open to the terrace. There is plenty of closet space (albeit all in one room) and the standalone AC unit is a godsend on hot summer days. The extra W/C is a bonus when travelling with friends or work companions. The couch can technically be used as a pullout but I definitely wouldn't recommend that for longer stays. It's not the largest or cushiest - it's more function than form but who hangs out on a couch when on holiday? But note: anyone averse to stairs will have to deal with a few flights of hard climbing - but in truth, I've stayed in half a dozen apartments in Cannes and this is the norm in these old buildings. Character over convenience!
Our host Ron was very attentive by email. And his on-the-ground partner Nick was ever-helpful.
This place is not luxe, but it's got everything you need to have a lovely time in Cannes and the location can't be beat. Walk out the door and off you go.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments. We think you are right about the sofa so we replaced it with a new one that is both functional and really comfortable. Hopefully it is now a perfect mix of style and substance!
This hone was complete Serendipity. As I walked in, my first sight on the wall was the building I see leaving my home every day. I knew this was home, away from home. The building is quiet and the home has plenty of room and is well equipped. The host was delightful. . The luxury of fresh cold drinks in the fridge made the stay almost as beautiful as the home length terrace. My kids stayed the last couple nights. I hope they did not drink all of your wine! Thanks for. beautiful stY in Cannes. I hope you will have me as your guest next year!

This property is a gem! Perfect location and a lovely apartment. Enjoyed every moment. Cannot wait to have the opportunity to stay there again.
Note that it may be better to pack several smaller pieces of luggage rather than one big suitcase as it is on the 3rd floor with no elevators.

The property was perfect in terms of cleanliness, location, service and amenities provided. We had a very comfortable stay, made even better by not just having the harbour area and beach nearby but also a large balcony to relax and have meals on when at 'home', under the lovely Mediterranean sky.

Charming apartment in a great location
I had a great stay here. The apartment was clean, easy to find, and in a great location. I especially loved the terrace that wraps around the entire apartment - it was great to have a glass of wine and dinner on the terrace when I wasn't at one of the many amazing restaurants in the area! Would definitely recommend this apartment to everyone. This apartment would work for families too, so I will definitely consider coming back to this apartment with the rest of my family!

What a fabulous and welcoming home you have in Cannes – it couldn’t be better appointed and yet miraculously quiet. It was such a joy being a stone’s throw from the market and able to enjoy meals at home with the freshest of the best of Mediterranean fare.
It was equally so valuable to be able to pop home during the day and get a bit of work done. All in all, it was one of my most productive and enjoyable Cannes. Many thanks for your warmest welcome and for sharing your place.

A Lot To Like Here
I just returned to the U.S. after spending a month at this apartment in Cannes. There's a lot to like with this property. First, the owner is fantastic. He was so helpful and always responsive to answer questions. (And the local property manager was also very helpful.) For me, this fact alone qualifies it for a high rating. Second, the location was perfect. It is centrally located in the old port on a continuation of the major shopping street-Rue D'Antibes. It is walking distance from Le Suquet, La Croisette, Boulevard Carnot, La Palais des Festivals, movie theaters, the train station, and virtually all the best cafes and restaurants. Third, it is convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and just enjoying walking around the city. It is neat and clean with maid service available. The only negative is that the pedestrian street behind the apartment is very noisy sometimes at night with loud voices and garbage pick-up. On the other hand, that street is one of my favorite places for shopping and restaurants. Overall, a wonderful place to spend a little or a lot of time!

Location and comfort
I was in Cannes for a conference at the Palais and the location of the apartment was perfect. We were a very short walk to the Palais and we were right above some of the best restaurants. If I go back to Cannes I will definitely rent this apartment again. Oh, the apartment was very comfortable too!

A Wonderful Stay In The Heart of Cannes.
We've rented apartments in France before but never in Cannes.
Whenever we rent we always identify an experienced host. Ron, the owner, was easy to work with and spot on with advice about the area. More importantly, the apartment was 1st class. It had plenty of from towels and linens, perfectly clean and in good condition (he even sent a housekeeper midway through our visit which was so appreciated) and a terrace that is great for taking a drink and people watching even in colder weather.
Highly recommended without hesitation.

Great apartment!
We rented the apartment for the first week of July and it was great! So happy with the location as we were steps away from the beach, train station, and great shopping. The airport shuttle took us straight from the Nice airport to city hall and dropped us directly across the street from the apartment. It was clean and the balcony was a great place to relax with a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing or beach. The sounds of Cannes waft up as people walk through the little cobblestone street below where there are shops and bakeries and often musicians playing the violin or accordion which provides an amazing atmosphere. The only thing I would warn is that sometimes the stairwell going up to the apartment smelled of fish as you are between two seafood restaurants however the smell went no further than the first landing and never penetrated the apartment. Ron was great and attended to all of our needs and questions with prompt replies any time I had an inquiry. All in all it was an amazing end to our vacation and I would certainly do it again.

Charming apartment overlooking market street
My sister and I stayed in this adorable apartment for ten days in late February. While the weather was too cold (and a bit rainy) to spend time on the beach, we had a fabulous time exploring the culinary richness of Cannes.
The apartment is in a fabulous location. Just steps from where the airport shuttle stops, finding the apartment was a breeze. The apartment is a fourth floor walk-up, which was fine for us, but might not be the best for people with limited mobility. The apartment was sunny and cheerful with big, beautiful french doors that opened onto a spacious patio.
The bedrooms are nicely sized and there is plenty of storage space. The kitchen was appointed with all the tools necessary for cooking, which was fantastic, because we visited the nearby Fourville Market nearly daily. To say that the food in Cannes is excellent is an understatement. The Fourville Market, which is literally a one minute walk from the apartment, is teeming with fresh produce, meats, cheeses, fresh pastas, and more. We cooked wonderful meals multiple times in the apartment. The nearby restaurants are also excellent. Lunch at L'Affable was a real treat, and more casual restaurants like Jaipur and Jean Luc Pele made our dining in Cannes consistently strong.
The shopping in Cannes is world class. We loved finding beautiful items from designers we can't find easily in the US like Tara Jarmon, Repetto, Escales, and Comptoir des Cottoniers.
The apartment is very close to the train station that runs regular trains to nearby destinations like Marsielle, Antibes, and Monte Carlo. We took a wonderful day trip to St. Paul du Vence and visited the Maeght Foundation art museum. A trip to St. Paul is a must-do for art lovers.
All in all, the apartment made for a comfortable and convenient home during our visit to Cannes, and we would definitely rent it again in the future.
About the host
Hosted by Ron Katz
There is no place we are more fond of than Cannes. The apartment's location is amazing, but more than that, there is both a warm personal feel and nostalgic sense of luxury. That is reflected in the care and attention that has been given to every detail and the special ambiance of this unique neighborhood. We welcome our guests and do everything possible from our first contact until the day of your departure to make you feel at home, give you local advice, and ensure that your visit to Cannes exceeds your best expectations.
Why they chose this property
This is a great place to visit. We try to attend to every detail from care of the apartment, to sharing our regional wine collection with you so that your visit for pleasure or business is everything you want and deserve.
What makes this property unique
Our terrace is one of the largest and most elegant in the old part of Cannes. Many people have told us that their best memory is of dinners on the terrace with the sounds of the old pedestrian street below, spectacular views of the old clock tower, smells from the Provencial markets, and the radiant blue sky which is unique to the South of France. Our beautiful induction stove is every French chef's first choice.
