Surrounded by the Milseburg (835 m), Auersberg (757 m), and Wasserkuppe (950 m) mountains, our newly renovated holiday apartment is located in the Hessian Rhön, near the market town of Hilders. Its location in the heart of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve, bordering Bavaria (Franconia) and Thuringia, makes it an ideal starting point for excursions, hikes, bike and motorcycle tours, and a wealth of recreational and cultural activities. Our house is located directly on the Milseburg Bike Trail, which runs for 1,172 m (Germany’s second-longest bike tunnel) straight through the basalt rock of the Milseburg. Hiking and biking shuttles make some of the more challenging stretches easier. Just four kilometres away, you’ll find everything you need for daily life: several supermarkets and bakeries, excellent restaurants (two of which are even within walking distance of the village), a petrol station, as well as things you hopefully won’t need during your holiday, such as a doctor and a dentist. There’s a playground just five metres away and a bus stop 30 metres away.



Engelsthann Holiday Rental:

Our 110-square-meter holiday apartment is furnished with great attention to detail in a blend of old and new. The light-filled apartment is located on the ground floor and can accommodate up to seven guests. The apartment consists of a spacious living/dining room with a large dining table and a comfortable sofa bed suitable even for taller guests, a cosy and fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee maker, and toaster; two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with three single beds); a hallway; and a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and bathtub. The apartment is complemented by a covered loggia, accessible from both the living/dining room and the kitchen, and a large garden that guests are welcome to use for barbecuing and relaxing. Doing laundry, stocking up on ice in the freezer, letting the dishwasher take care of the dishes, a baby cot and high chair, play options for children—our apartment is ideally and fully equipped for families with children—but of course for all other guests as well.



On-site fees: Pets are allowed by prior arrangement and cost €10 per pet per night. If you’d like to bring pets, please contact us in advance. The tourist tax of 1 € per guest per night will be charged additionally on-site. Bed linens and towels are available for a fee (a one-time charge of 15 € per guest for bed linens and 5 € per guest for towels).The base rate includes final cleaning, Wi-Fi, and a parking space.



Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00, and check-out is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
