About Toni Devereaux
I retired from Walt Disney Studios in 2007. Now I love to travel; I do home exchanges with my Pasadena home all over the world. As a host I know how to make a home comfortable visitors, and I'm aware of what I look for as a guest in someone's home. I grew up in upstate NY, went to college in Ohio and lived for a time in Chicago, so I'm used to snowy winters and I actually miss them! I love coming to the mountains for the change of seasons, hiking and x-country skiing, or just watching the birds from the deck.
Toni Devereaux purchased this Cabin in 1985
Why Toni Devereaux chose Pine Mountain Club
My ex-husband and I bought this cabin in 1985. We wanted a retreat where he could golf and I could x-country ski and we could enjoy nature with our family. We had thought of looking in Big Bear, east of LA, but a friend told us about Pine Mountain Club which is so much closer and quieter. It's never crowded, even on holidays, and has a real small town feel, plus it's only 90 minutes from my home in Pasadena.
What makes this Cabin unique
When I'm in my cabin I feel like I'm in another world. It's absolutely quiet on the cul-de-sac. The back deck which looks out onto green space with birds, squirrels and the occasional deer. The interior is all knotty pine, even the ceilings, and there's a big stone fireplace. Starting right across from the cabin a neighbor has built a series of rock-lined paths through the woods, with little tables and seats made from tree stumps; it's just a 10 minute walk to the village through the 'enchanted forest.' I love to hike and x-country ski on Mt. Pinos, and enjoy the live music, swimming and tennis at the clubhouse. For home entertainment, I have accumulated a library of over 200 movies on dvd, laser disc and tape. I enjoy sharing my cabin with guests and I use it myself as often as I can; a weekend at the cabin feels like a real vacation.

Thanksgiving weekend
Had a great experience when Toni and her property. She was very welcoming and helpful in assuring we had a great stay. Had a ton of snow in a cozy cabin. Wonderful accommodations, thanks Toni!
Relaxing Cabin in the woods
We had a nice relaxing stay here. All the photos shown online were the same as reality, which is always nice! Nice walking trail starts just down the street and is an easy walk to the center of town. Toni had a book in the cabin that was very helpful with things to do and see and she answered questions very quickly.
Very nice.
A very nice cabin on a quiet cul-de-sac. Well-equipped and comfortable. Perfect for a couple or small family.
Absolutely Fabulous!
This is the third time we have stayed in the Devereaux cabin and it just feels like home to us now! It is such a wonderful little place and we are so happy that we have had the opportunity to stay several times now. We will be back!!!
Charming cabin
We had a nice time at the cabin. The cabin is accommodating and cozy.
The sunrise was especially nice from the back windows and we really enjoyed watching the birds. It is on our list to return.

Lovely cabin in the woods
very nice cabin with lovely deck and close to store (10 min walk). Everything is labeled nicely so you know where it is and how it works. fabulous grill on deck. Only downside is stairs to bedrooms are very steep and only 1 bathroom which is upstairs. V..ery comfortable and homey. Fully stocked with movies, games, music, etc.
Hi Jeanine,
Thanks for your feedback, and sorry about the stair issues. The stairs are just the normal incline, built to code, but I understand stairs can sometimes be difficult. Hope you had a good time otherwise.

Birdwatching - bird feeder with supplies - birds put on quite a show on the deck. But be VERY careful to empty bird feeder or bring it in at night so as to not attract bears. Boating on Pyramid Lake 35 minutes away. Telescope for viewing the clear night sky away from city lights.
