About Jeff and Rosanne Puck
My husband and I were always taking our 2 sons as they were growing up on the Rock River and the Mississippi boating, skiing, tubing, and just having fun on the shores. We lived in Davenport, Ia and always looking for a place on the river to make our home. That finally came true in 1999. We love it here and want to share it with all of you! We had rented several vacation cabins/houses from Estes Park, Colorado, Okoboji, Iowa, Minnesota, Canada to Florida. We realized we have just as nice vacation area right here. Please come and enjoy!
Jeff and Rosanne Puck purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Jeff and Rosanne Puck chose Rock Island
We have rented vacation rentals cabins in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Lake Okoboji in Iowa, Estes Park, Colorado ourselves and have realized we have the best of everything right here and would like to share this with you!

A one of a kind owner
A real vacation
If only I could stay longer!
I enjoyed the brief time I had, most particularly the lovely river view. The cottage was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, etc. A most comfortable place.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review! It shows up as you giving us 1 Star, but sounds like you meant 4 stars, if not 5 stars! Anyway, thank you for your kind words.
Excellent Return Visit
We stayed in the Cottage a couple years ago. It was a great experience then and was even better this time. We live out of state and come back to Rock Island every other year to visit with family. The Cottage was just as we remembered - kind of a rustic and informal feel to it. This time we had four adults - my wife and I and our two daughters. As before, the deck overlooking the Rock River was our favorite spot. On the inside, everything we needed was provided. We, of course, brought our own supplies - coffee, cereal, snacks, etc. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. We recommend it to anyone looking for a casual place to stay for a few nights.
The cottage is right on the Rock River next door to our 'Vacation Cabin' that some of you may be familiar with that we have been renting since 2009. So, if you and another family are interested in more space, we now have it! When you step outside, the yard extends to the river and you can walk right down to it. There is a wonderful large deck to view the river and the wildlife from. Just up river, you can see the Backwater Gambler's Ski Show every Wednesday and Sunday nights. There are plenty of other things to do and the Quad Cities Convention Bureau site can tell you what is going on during the time you are vacationing. There are several golf courses, bicycling, the zoo is very nice, Celebration River Cruises and the Catfish tour boat stopping many places for you to get out and sight see, shop or eat on the Mississippi River. Lots of live entertainment, and The Riverfront Grille is a Restaurant/bar that you could walk to that has live entertainment every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon. I-Wireless Center has big name star concerts almost every weekend. If not concerts, they are home to the Quad City Mallards Hockey team, Basketball, rodeos, demolition car derbys, circus, and on-and-on.
