Surrounded by the mountains of the Southern Harz, which rise up to 600 metres, and located in the historic town centre of Ilfeld, you’ll find our family-run guesthouse, a half-timbered building constructed around 1800 as Ilfeld’s first school. Our holiday apartments are named after the surrounding mountains or rock formations. You’ll be staying in the “Burgberg” holiday apartment, which sleeps up to 4 people (approx. 60 m²), on the 2nd floor, featuring a living room with a flat-screen TV, upholstered furniture, and a closet, 2 bedrooms (the second bedroom, with 2 single beds that can also be pushed together, is located directly above the holiday rental and is accessible via a staircase), a kitchen with an electric stove, dishwasher, dining table with 4 chairs, refrigerator, etc., as well as a window for ventilation, a bathroom with a shower, bathtub, toilet, and a window for ventilation with a view of our mountains. Internet access via our in-house Wi-Fi hotspot is available to you free of charge. A parking space on our enclosed property is available to you free of charge by arrangement. The beautiful outdoor area, with its many flowers, lawn for sunbathing, and outdoor seating, invites you to relax, unwind, or have a barbecue. Enjoy the view of the mountains and the charming half-timbered houses. The most beautiful hiking trails start right at our front door.
Shopping options—including a private butcher shop offering Thuringian specialities and an attached grocery and drink section for daily needs, bread and rolls from the local bakery, and a snack bar for breakfast and lunch (barbecues are always served on Fridays)—are just a 2-minute walk away. An Edeka supermarket, a drink store, a bakery, a gift shop, a pharmacy, a doctor’s office, and a hair salon are also located in town.
