2/10 Terrible

Beware old listing: NOT as advertised!
Given the positive reviews and lovely photos we were sure this would be a great place to stay for a few months in transition to moving to SF. However, the latest reviews were from 2014, so please beware that the condition of this home is very misrepresented at this time.
Over the course of our 2 month stay we had the following issues:
- The first night the toilet plumbing exploded leaving us to sewage into the shower so that it didn't leak into the master bedroom.
- We spent about 3 days cleaning cigarettes from windowsills, removing junk from the backyard, and trying to air out the smell of cat litter from the downstairs. (The owners don't have any cleaning supplies so we had to buy them all ourselves - which leads me to ask the question: how often do they actually clean?)
- There was a terrible stench in the master closet. A pest control inspector concluded that an animal had died in the wall and that our best course of action was to wait for the smell to dissipate (which was over a week).
- The hosts live elsewhere, but use the space as a storage unit - and their personal items are shoved in every drawer and closet. It's suffocating to feel like you're living in someone else's dirt.
- There are filthy pots and pans and cooking materials -- we ordered all our own off Amazon (but we took them with us, so sadly future guests won't have clean utensils to use)
- There were multiple bug infestations, one of which was so bad it caused us to move out.
Given everything about the listing, these types of issues are completely inexcusable. In total we had to spend about 7 nights in hotel rooms because of sewage and rodent/bug problems. We ended up deciding to leave about 10 days early because of the problems that the hosts would not address.
We highly recommend you seek other accommodation anywhere else.
