We stayed during a major heat wave and the host was thoughtful enough to purchase and provide 3 standing fans! Europe does not have A/C, so this was a lifesaver!!Check in was smooth. The host was quick to respond to questions and provided instructions in the apartment, that were in both German and English. Had a parking spot.The neighborhood was very nice, with a market right downstairs. Would stay here again.

I am all about fair reviews & giving people a chance. The check-in info took us to a tube stop 15 min walk away, Franz Joseph is a 2 min walk. On arrival we called to see if there was somewhere to store luggage, the host said he would call us back but never did. We returned at 4pm. The pin code to the door did not work. Access gained at 4:35pm after several calls to Agent. Apartment, stunning, modern, clean. Ready to relax. First day we were subjected to base of loud music it went on past midnight. Second night the same noise until 2am. At this point we reported it. We were advised that we must be hearing base from the music hall below. We investigated & yes the 3 bedrooms are above music booths which can be used anytime day/night. We were unlucky enough to have drum practice for our entire stay. The shop next door takes deliveries between 6/7am some weekdays & major construction opposite from 7am was the icing on the cake. Agent was responsive to start with but became defensive offering to move us to the mountains at 10pm the eve before our last full day as they could not control one million people in the city. The location of the apartment apart from the music hall is very quiet at night & you may be lucky not to get noise at all. Were we just unlucky, possibly but the music venue should be disclosed under VRBO regs. We are still waiting for appropriate compensation. VRBO have been unable to reach the host.

We are glad to hear you found the apartment itself stunning, modern and clean – that means a lot to us. However, we are genuinely sorry that several circumstances affected your stay, and we would like to address each one openly. Regarding the check-in, we acknowledge there was an issue with the pin code and we understand how frustrating that must have been after a long journey. We are sorry for the delay in getting you access and have since reviewed our check-in process to ensure this does not happen again. As for the noise, we want to be fully transparent: the music rehearsal rooms below the apartment are an existing feature of the building, and we sincerely regret that their usage during your stay was particularly intense. While we have no control over when they are used, we understand that this significantly impacted your comfort, and we are sorry we could not offer a better solution in the moment. The early morning deliveries and construction nearby were equally beyond our control, but we fully empathise with how disruptive this combination must have felt. When the noise issues were raised, we acted as quickly as we could, including offering an alternative accommodation, even though we recognise the timing and location were far from ideal. We hope that despite these unfortunate circumstances, there were still moments you were able to enjoy. We are grateful for your honesty and will use your feedback to improve. Warm regards

Im Allgemeinen hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren von freitags bis sonntags da. Die Räume waren alle sehr sauber und aufgeräumt. Es war alles vorhanden, was aufgelistet wurde. Die Betten bequem und alle Geräte haben funktioniert. Das Einzige was bei uns nicht geklappt hat, ist die Vergabe von dem PIN für die Tür. Ich weiß nicht ob dafür eine KI oder ein Bot eingesetzt wurde. Wir hatten nachgefragt ob wir eine halbe Stunde eher in das Apartment können und dafür haben wir eine andere PIN bekommen, aber das Reinigungspersonal war noch nicht fertig, was nicht weiter schlimm war. Aber wenn 2 Tage später, morgens um halb 2 die nächste Gruppe mit ihrer Pin in das Apartment konnten, das geht überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten Glück, dass wir nach dem Konzert Besuch schon wieder da waren. Die Gruppe hat es geschafft nach 20 min die Tür auf zu bekommen. Danach haben wir durch das offene Fenster uns mit ihnen unterhalten und Erfahren dass die auch eher da waren und schonmal ins Apartment wollten (Check in ist 11 Uhr). Die haben sich entschuldigt und sind gegangen. Wir haben dann noch einmal unsere PIN ausprobiert und auch die PIN, die wir freitags für 15:30 Uhr bekommen haben, hat auch noch funktioniert. Also gab es 3 verschiede PINs die für ein Appartement vergeben wurden. Das darf nicht sein unsere ganzen Sachen hätten geklaut werden können.

Spacious flat in a nice location - short taxi or public transportation rides to Marienplatz and Munich's other sights. Bedrooms were large compared to other European rentals we visited, and the washer/dryer combo was convenient (though the fastest load still needed 3 hours from finish start-to-finish)
