About this property
Quarterdeck - Oceanfront, balcony, kitchen.
Second-level condo with king bed, oceanfront balcony, warm electric fireplace, kitchenette (small counter space complete with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, full size frig, coffee maker) wifi, Samsung smart TV.
The Quarterdeck is up 15 stairs with two handrails, on the second floor. It is one of ten condos in our building.
New king bed (2020) right by the sliding glass door to the ocean balcony. The fabulous ocean view makes this condo unique and romantic. Nothing compares with sitting on the balcony with a cool drink, watching the beach action below! The fireplace is electric, which means one can run "flames" for ambience but no heat. It's nice to be able to lie in bed and watch the "fire"! There are two kitchen table chairs, and one soft "easy" chair by the fireplace.
Table games are in the closet.
No couch. If you make arrangements with us, we can provide a camping cot for a small child.
The condo is equipped with basic spices (salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, and Italian seasoning) plus oil and oil spray. We also have a drip coffee maker with filters, and an adequate array of cooking pans, pots, bowls, casserole dishes, and utensils.
Seafood odors linger long and strong. So please, no cooking fresh seafood in the condo.
No smoking in the condo, or on the balcony. No pets or animals allowed.
Shower stall only in bathroom (no tub).
Our Cancellation Policy is Relaxed and allows 100% rent refund up until 14 days prior to your stay. FYI, if you find it necessary to cancel at any point between booking or 14 days prior, we must charge a small 5% processing fee to cover our expenses.
One block away from Highway 101, easy walking to restaurants, souvenir shops, and a grocery store.
Beach access is via 50 gentle stairs (with two handrails) or a paved ramp to drive onto the beach! In fact, during April - Sept, many people like to park their cars on the beach (right below the condo) when the tide is out! But twice a day, the tide rolls in, and clears everybody out!!!
No pets allowed. Please do not ask to bring a favorite animal. It just doesn't work to mix animals, and folks with allergies in our private condo. I cannot host guests with dogs, because I have other guests, who specifically ask me for "allergen-free" rooms. I do not have pet-friendly rooms.
Parking in a beach town is challenging but manageable. We have 11 off-street parking spaces. Some will accommodate large vehicles, others will not. If you are driving a small vehicle, please be considerate and choose a small parking space. Please be aware that a large 4-door truck may find parking in our lot challenging, and you might find it more comfortable to park on a side street.
Please note: We do not provide chargers for electric vehicles. We recommend locating nearby charging stations in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
At check-in, we issue one parking permit for our lot, and vehicles without permits will be subject to towing.
Extra vehicles can find parking on the side streets of 15th and 14th Streets. Please be advised, that Lincoln City writes tickets if vehicles park in their lot across the street between 1-5 a.m.
Bring your own BBQ to enjoy at the beach, or bring some newspaper and kindling to light a campfire on the beach! (The driftwood is often wet and hard to start without dry wood, but burns great once going!)
At time of booking, you will have access to the House Manual under "Basics" and receive a code for the key lockbox at the front door, so you can check yourself in anytime after 4 pm on your first day.
We love the immediate beach access from the Quarterdeck condo! Walk the beach, looking for glass floats among the cliffs and sea grass. Fly kites, or enjoy a beach campfire. Spin a doughnut in the sand with your vehicle...yes, they all are permitted on this section of beach!
One off-street parking spot is included with this condo.
There are three public electric vehicle charging locations in Lincoln City.
Lincoln County Transit provides busing in the city.
Siletz Bay Airport at the little town of Gleneden provides air transportation
This is a vacation condo. In an effort to offer an awesome beach experience at a minimal price, we provide clean towels and linens for each guest's stay, but we do not do daily housekeeping. We do not provide clean towels daily.
We do provide bath soap bars, complimentary shampoo and conditioner in separate bottles, as well as complimentary coffee for a day or two (depending on how much one consumes :)
For planning purposes: our rates are based on occupancy. Extra guests over the number of two cost only $8/person/night. This cost is factored into your reservation when you book and list the people in your party. If you arrive with undeclared guests, our extra person charge will be $15/person/night.
It's very easy to step outside and walk around to the edge of the lawn and enjoy the ocean air and sights, downlooking from the bluff to view the tide pools and people on the beach below.
BRING BINOCULARS for your trip! From here, you can watch ships, whales, people, birds, and vehicles stuck in the sand...great fun!
The Quarterdeck is in the upscale Oceanlake Historic District, conveniently located close to a ramp to actually drive onto the beach sand!
For the shoppers in your group, Tanger Mall on Highway 101 in Lincoln city has name-brand outlet shopping for those who wish to cruise the shops, as well as many antique stores and curio shops.
The Chinook Winds Casino and Convention Center is just 2 miles north, with an indoor golf resort, seafood dining, concerts and entertainment, and 23 table games.
Bring some firewood and starter and enjoy a campfire on the beach. It's state-owned property and perfectly legal without any permit! 'Keep the fire small as a lawn chair and west of the vegetation line and extinguish with water, not sand.' (Oregon State Parks rules)
You may want to bring roasting sticks, marshmallows, and hotdogs for a memorable meal at the beach :)
The local Chamber of Commerce sponsors a fun program called 'Finders Keepers' and annually hides 3000 hand blown glass sand dollars and Japanese sea floats along the 7 1/2 miles of Lincoln City beach! Be sure to walk the beach in front of your condo and look along the cliffs and among the grass and driftwood for these valuable collector items!
Devils Lake, deep only in terms of historic folklore, is 1/3 mile wide, 3 miles long, and reaches a depth of only 22 feet. Nine species of freshwater fish beckon the fisherman, while water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, knee-boarding and jet skiing engage other sports enthusiasts. Flowing from Devils Lake is the 'D' River, which holds the title of one of the World's Shortest Rivers. From its source at Devils Lake, the river reaches its destination of the Pacific is a mere 120 feet.
Just 30 miles south is the town of Newport on Yaquina Bay, with it's working fleet of fishing vessels, plus sea lions basking on the docks and dozens of quaint bayfront shops and curio stores and restaurants.
World-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium is also located in Newport, as well as the Maritime Museum and the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Your days will be delightful, whether beach combing for glass floats or shopping or dining or reading in front of the fireplace!

Lincoln City, OR 97367
The Quarterdeck front door is up the covered stairs, and left on the walkway, in our main building, your condo is #8.

We have upgraded to a 39" Samsung smart TV, so there is now regular cable TV, plus access to Netflix, Hulu, etc.
Staying at the beach goes good with seafood. Unfortunately, cooking seafood can create extremely strong odors. While we love to enhance the enjoyment of your stay, we have learned that your cooking seafood can dramatically decrease the enjoyment of the following guest. So please, no cooking fresh seafood while staying with us.
Bring your own beach towels! This is a vacation home, so bath and kitchen towels are provided at the beginning of your stay, but not renewed during your stay.
Please remember the strict No Pets/No Companion Animals policy in our private condo.
As noted in our description, our place is smoke-free. This also means NO SMOKING on the balcony; neighbors will not appreciate the second-hand odors. There's a "Smoker's pot" ashtray located on the north and south ends of our property, by the south dumpster and the railing north of the garage.
We will leave a light and heat on for you, and depending on the weather, the sliding glass door ajar, so you can hear the sounds of the ocean when you first walk in!
In your condo, you will find a parking permit for one car, to post on your vehicle dashboard, for the duration of your stay. In order to ensure that our guests have enough parking space in our lot, vehicles without permits will be subject to towing.
If there are extra vehicles in your party, they can find parking on the side streets of 15th and 14th Streets. FYI, Lincoln City writes tickets if vehicles park in their lot across the street between 1-5 a.m.
If the weather is nice, climb Cascade Head, just north of Lincoln City off Highway 101
