I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my stay at “Happy Days” was a nightmare. The host, who lives on the property, was extremely rude and invasive from day one. She sent a long message accusing my children (13-year-old twins and a 9-year-old) of making a mess in the pool and cutting her flowers — completely false. The pool already had leaves and toys in it when we arrived. Later that day, she approached my daughter, touched her head, and accused her directly. Totally inappropriate and unprofessional.
We were also told not to enter her property unless we rinsed off, even though we wore water shoes and cleaned up after ourselves. Eventually, she said we couldn’t rinse on her property at all — we had to rinse off on the street!
On top of that, she demanded a surprise cash-only fee for water/electricity just days before check-in, which was never mentioned during booking.
The positives: the pool is nice, the AC works well, and there’s a decent outdoor sitting area. But none of that made up for how uncomfortable the host made us feel.
I’ve traveled with my kids many times and never had an experience this bad. If you value peace, privacy, and basic respect, I would not recommend staying here.
