About this property
Vacation home Dünenliebe
Summary:
The “Düne” motto is reflected in many details of the lovingly furnished, high-quality vacation home.
The Space:
The “Düne” motto is reflected in many details of the lovingly furnished, high-quality vacation home. The first floor is equipped with a spacious open-plan living/dining area with an eat-in kitchen, which offers everything you need for a vacation stay. The large living area can be pulled out into a double bed so that 2 people can sleep here. The fireplace provides pleasant warmth and atmosphere in the cold season. The ground-floor sauna with walk-in shower also allows you to cool off in the garden. A separate WC is also located on the ground floor, as is the utility room with washer-dryer.
The upper floor is reached via a decorative staircase and leads to a small hallway. The large bathroom with bathtub and separate shower is centrally located. The master bedroom with a 180 cm wide box-spring bed leads to a roof terrace, which invites you to linger not only in the evening hours. The second bedroom has 2 separate box-spring beds. Both rooms are stylishly furnished and equipped with sufficient cupboard space for clothes and a TV. A total of 6 people can stay in the vacation home. WLAN can be used free of charge.
A terrace area has been laid out almost all around the thatched-roof holiday home, so that you have plenty of opportunities to barbecue (electric only, as open fires are not permitted in thatched-roof houses), make yourself comfortable in a beach chair or enjoy a glass of wine or similar at the small bar table on the south-west side in the evening. The approximately 1000 square meter property offers a large lawn and at the end a small dune, which invites you to linger with 2 lounge chairs, especially at sunset with a view of the small pond. From the roof terrace you have a beautiful view of the Strelasund and the skyline of Stralsund. There is underfloor heating throughout the house.
A parking space for 2 cars is located directly at the house next to the driveway. There is a bicycle stand for 6 bicycles in front of the entrance area. Bicycles can also be stored in the lockable garden shed in bad weather.
Framed by frieze walls planted with dune roses and the dune landscapes, the property exudes a maritime charm.
Guest Access:
The name “Dünenliebe” (dune love) for the new thatched-roof house is immediately apparent on arrival. Embedded in a dune landscape with the typical dune grass, sea buckthorn and driftwood steles (groynes) in sand beds, it emphasizes the maritime flair.
The Neighborhood:
The thatched-roof house, newly built in 2020, is located on the outskirts of Stralsund in an individual thatched-roof vacation home development with a small beach just 200 meters away. The historic old town of Stralsund can be reached in a few minutes by bike or on foot via a beautiful path along the Strelasund. The UNESCO World Heritage and Hanseatic city offers a historic ambience with unique sights, museums, restaurants and cafes as well as the flair of a harbor town as the gateway to Rügen. All shopping facilities, such as REWE, ALDI etc. and the Strelapark shopping center can be reached by car within a short distance. There you will also find the Hanse Dom, an adventure pool with white water canal, oriental sauna area and much more for the whole family. There is also a zoo nearby. The Ozeaneum at the harbor is well worth a visit.
Rügen, with the annual Störtebecker Festival, the chalk cliffs as well as Usedom and the Fischland-Darß region can be reached by car in a short time and invite you to explore, and in summer there are wonderful sandy beaches.
In the nearby nature reserve with crane center, you can marvel at many cranes. Especially in spring and fall, thousands of cranes can be seen migrating south. In March you can watch the mating dances of the cranes.
Other Things to Note:
Bed linen and towels are not included in the price.
Linen packages, consisting of a towel, a shower towel, a sheet and bed linen, can be optionally booked up to 5 days before arrival via our travel registration form for €19 per person.
