About this property

Luxury Cottage with Spectacular Lake & Mountain Views

Guests are always captured by the utter beauty and quiet of this property, surrounded by pristine wilderness, with spectacular views of Slocan Lake and Valhalla National park.

If you are looking to get off-the-grid, while enjoying breathtaking scenery and the comforts of a luxury cottage, then look no further!

Whether you want to be active and enjoy all the adventures the Kootenay Region has to offer, or just take in the scenery and recharge, this cottage will provide everything you need.

This pet-friendly cottage sleeps up to eight adults comfortably. There are four bedrooms, two on the main floor, one on the lower and the master is in the spacious loft. There are three full bathrooms; the one in the loft features a whirlpool tub with a mountain view.

The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a BBQ on the deck. A pool table and laundry facilities are on the lower level.

Get cozy at the fireplace inside or curl up and enjoy an unparalleled view of the stars at our brand new fire table out on the huge deck (over 1000 sqft).

Swimming is glorious in this clean, clear, glacial fed lake and there are kayaks and paddle boards available to use at our large dock, located a 15 minute walk down the hill. A pontoon boat is available for rent as well. Take it to gorgeous, secluded beaches, water falls, hiking trails and various other points of interest around the lake. Keep in mind, the trail to and from the water is not suitable for the unfit. It's a good hike!

We have plenty of TV shows and movies to offer (hard drive on the main floor TV and DVD player with TV on the lower level).
We offer Wi-Fi for $20/day. Alternatively, you can also use our TELUS signal booster to create a hotspot on your phone.
Hook up your phone or Ipod to our indoor/outdoor speakers or use one of our 2 bluetooth portable speakers.

Our property provides easy access to world class hiking, fishing, mountain biking, skiing and even heli-skiing. Hot springs and zip-lining are both an hour away. Explore the Kootenay culture at the unique shops and restaurants in local towns like Nelson, Kaslo and New Denver.

For large groups, wedding, etc., there are two neighboring cottages available to rent. See VRBO listings #728145 and #579703.

If you prefer an almost identical, smaller cottage, see our 3 bedroom listing #728145.

We spend two weeks every August at our cottage on Slocan Lake and it's my favorite place on earth. I love nothing more than spending time on that deck, taking in the spectacular views and enjoying the quiet.

Why they chose this property

'The Kootenays are one of the last great places in all of North America. It is the safest, least touched, cheapest, most visually dramatic recreation area left.'
- Andy Cohen, BC Division of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies
