Blissful Lakefront Living Minutes From Dover Bay & Sandpoint

The Lakeshore Lodge is a stunning, 5-bedroom retreat on the shores of beautiful Lake Pend O'Reille. Located at the end of a tranquil, traffic-free lane, Lakeshore Lodge offers blissful seclusion yet is only 3 minutes from the Dover Bay community and 7 minutes from Sandpoint, Idaho - voted America's 'Most Beautiful Small Town' by USA Today and Rand McNally.

Lakeshore Lodge is all North Idaho - big beams, big trees, big views - but step inside and you'll discover a retreat that is more chic than rustic: the wood and stainless steel kitchen; the ridiculously comfortable leather sofa set; the elegant tiled bathrooms; the spacious bedrooms (all but one facing the lake); the ample second-floor deck; the jacuzzi etc.

Just a few steps from the front door brings you to our private deck and L-shaped dock. You'll enjoy this special spot all year round: swimming, boating, paddling or just admiring the glorious views across the lake with a glass of wine in hand.

The expansive backyard is big enough for a family soccer match and includes a large jungle gym for the little ones. The back deck is perfect for barbecuing and has a large jacuzzi for relaxing tired muscles after a long day skiing at Schweitzer or hiking the area's numerous trails.

The Lakeshore Lodge has five bedrooms: two on the ground floor and three (including the master) on the second floor. The standard bed set up is three queens, one twin and a double set of bunk beds (big enough for adults.) We've also got a high-quality queen blow-up bed for bigger groups. Two big families? Three couples? No problem.

It has three bathrooms: one downstairs (2 sinks, 1 shower, 1 toilet) and two upstairs (master en suite with 2 sinks + shared bathroom for the other two bedrooms.)

Other appliances / amenities of note: LCD TV with cable, DVD player, wine fridge (I can stock with bottles from my collection if you're interested), gas fireplace with hearth.

Another plus: my property manager is your next door neighbor, and my relatives are all over town. There will always be somebody who can help if you have any issues or need local guidance on where to go and what to see!

Excellent place, great host

Our group of 10 greatly enjoyed our stay at the Lakeshore Lodge. The place was well furnished, the kitchen was well stocked, and the numerous games, puzzles & books and the hot tub kept us entertained. The location was also excellent--right on the lake, very close to Sandpoint, and 30 mts from Schweitzer. Communication was always prompt as well. Highly recommend.

Peaceful Retreat

This is our 4th stay at this location and we absolutely love it! It is always clean, fully stocked with all you need, and quick friendly communication with the owners and property manager. This is an extremely peaceful and quiet part of Dover. We enjoyed several meals outside, multiple walks around Dover, including one where we saw a moose and it’s baby, and lots of water time. Many memories were made with our 4 generation family. Highly recommend!

Perfect family Summer Getaway

This is the 2nd stay at Lakeshore house for our family. It is the perfect getaway. The house has everything you need, just show up. The area is quiet and safe for children with little to no traffic. The yard is large enough for yard games and the little ones love the big toy. The dock can accommodate 2 boats easily and the lake is so quiet and private, it's your own giant pool. The lakeshore house is our favorite summer destination.

Scott's Lakeshore Lodge is everything we're looking for in a lake getaway: quiet, beautiful, thoughtfully run. The location on Lake Pend Oreille is just delightful -- though we've never been there in the summer, even in the winter you can sit on the dock and see the west unfolding in front of you. The house itself is beautifully designed and Bridgett manages it from right next door, handling even minor issues right away. I've hesitated for years to put up a great review because I don't want others to book it up before we can! You won't be disappointed, much the contrary.

Great place, perfect location

My wife and I stayed there with two of our adult son's and their families. There was plenty of room for everyone, 6 adults and 6 kids. the yard is great for kids. The location is great, 10 minutes by boat to Sandpoint. There is no beach but the dock is nice and there is a covered sitting areadjust above the dock. FYI the dock has no breakwater so our waverunner did not do well tied up to the dock, that might change with the water level but it was no problem, we just anchored a little ways from the dock. my kids and grand kids loved it, very quiet neighborhood. Everything was clean and worked, the owner and property manager were great to work with,. We would highly recommend it.

Wonderful lakeside home

Beautiful home. We rent homes a lot and this was the most equipped home we’ve ever stayed with kitchen tools, a huge dining table that easily folds out for 10, beach towels, lawn chairs, yard games, water toys - everything you could ever need. Home is wonderful, newer, and super clean and quiet. Great neighbors. Communication with managers (next door) was easy and responsive. Huge yard a big plus for outdoor games and water fights with the playground equipment a huge bonus for our three year olds. Great multi level dock with shaded area. The only slight downside would be no easy beachy access to water, especially for toddlers. Water access only from the dock. Firepit and hot tub available. House easily accesses walking/bike trail to Dover Bay and Sandpoint as well as close access to mountain biking park. All in all a great place to stay and one of our favorites. Would definitely return.

Well stocked kitchen. Simple check-in & out. Very clean property. Great lake access. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Only complaint is the window coverings in each room let in too much light. Makes for kiddos being up really early! Enjoyed our time & would like to stay again, but I believe the price for next year is quite a bit higher.

All in our family group repeatedly commented on how very nice the Lake Lodge was: lake location, inside spaces, bed/bathrooms,, laundry,totally outfitted kitchen, outside spaces, waterside spaces, backyard. We loved our stay! The house was clean and fit our needs perfectly. The neighborhood is quiet and the lake is absolutely beautiful. The amenities at the home are fantastic. A slice of heaven

What a beautiful house with an amazing view! This property has everything for all ages. The kids loved swimming, playing in the big yard, going for bike rides and having a fire while the adults appreciated having a shady spot to watch them and a well stocked house to prepare family meals and enough rooms for everyone to have their own space ( 6 adults and 6 kids). Plus, it’s only a 40 minute drive to Silverwood! We will hope to make a return trip in the future! We’d give it 10 stars if we could!

Favorite Vacation

Lakeshore Lodge is the most beautiful, well equipped, comfortable VRBO my family has ever stayed in. Plenty of room for our family of 10. My husband and I had separate rooms on the ground floor which is perfect for us. Kids and grandkids shared the upstairs. We even set up the fold out air bed in the laundry room, which was great for our only grandson. He didn't have to share a room with the girls. Most of our time was spent swimming and jumping off the dock or out on the boat. The location is so beautiful we sat out front every evening to enjoy the sunset. Bridgette is the property manager and she lives next door. She made everything aspect of our check in/ check out process fast and easy. We all agreed that we would like to visit the lodge again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We hope to visit again!

I had a wonderful time with my family at this property. Everything was perfect! The house had everything we needed to enjoy Christmas week as family. Scott and Bridget went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of and felt welcome in the house. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and everyone had plenty of room. We went skiing at Schweitzer every day and loved how close we were to the resort. Could not have asked for anything more!
