You can reach the village of Oberbalm from Bern in just 30 minutes by car or public transport - and from here it's another 2.5 kilometres to us at the Althaus. The farm is situated on a private road with hardly any traffic, so if you are looking for peace and quiet but don't want to walk too far, you've come to the right place.
The holiday flat has a large bedroom with a double bed and a smaller room with a bunk bed and a single bed. The light-flooded living and dining room offers plenty of space for cosy hours. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob and dishwasher, Nespresso coffee capsule machine and bialetti pot, kettle and all the necessary utensils for cooking. The flat also has a covered car park and a seating area for relaxing in the sun.
Both balconies are lockable and therefore suitable for dogs as a supervised "outdoor area".
The lively flight activity of the countless swallows enlivens the airspace around the house in summer. From the seating area on the balcony, they can be observed at close quarters.
On clear nights, you can observe countless stars and satellites. A guided tour of the Botta observatory in Uecht, Niedermuhlern is highly recommended, even in bad weather in the underground planetarium.

Exceptionally clean!
The hosts are quite welcoming and absolutely adorable. The couple was very helpful in suggesting places to go, beyond what we had already planned and they also speak several languages.

We enjoyed a three night stay in this pastoral farmhouse apartment. Our hosts Marianne & Fritz were both welcoming and accommodating.
The apartment was very spacious and comfortable.
This farmhouse is tucked away outside the small village of Oberbalm in the foothills of the Berner Oberlands. However, it is only a 25 minute drive to Berne city center, and about an hour from Interlaken.
We would definitely stay here again.

Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man die Ruhe sucht und Berglandschaften mag. Unsere Gastgeber waren äußert herzlich. Die nahegelegene Hauptstadt Bern ist knapp 13 km entfernt und überaus sehenswert.
Die Wohnung ist für uns vier Erwachsene perfekt gewesen und hat alles, was man zur Selbstversorgung braucht.
Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.!
We had a lovely stay with Marianne and Fritz. They made us feel very at home and did what they could to help us. Our kids loved playing with their dogs and we enjoyed a little tour of the farm. The house is in the middle of the countryside so if you want peace and quiet this will suit you!
Sehr schöne und geräumige Wohnung in einem schönen Haus. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Tolle Lage für einen abwechslungsreichen Urlaub. Auch mit Kindern sehr geeignet! Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit. Sie schrieben extra einen detaillierten Zettel mit genauen Beschreibungen zu den Ausflugszielen. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sogar mit kleinem Willkommensgeschenk aus eigener Ernte. Falls etwas fehlte wurde sofort gehandelt. Für den Ofen haben wir jeden Tag ordentlich Holz bekommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, sehr gut geschlafen in einem weichen Bett und die Ruhe auf der Alm bieten den perfekten Urlaubseffekt.
