Was great to have you, Christina! Thanks so much for your booking. Please come back any time!!
We love the Desert Princess Development and this Cielo Court Villa. For us it has been perfect. We love the location and ambiance of Desert Princess and the Villa is clean and nicely furnished and equipped. The owner has been responsive on the rare times when we needed to contact him.
This is by far the best Villa of the 5 we have stayed in and have stayed in it for our last 6 visits. We love the pond and golf course view and the north exposure that lets us chose sun or shade and watch the changing colors during the day without staring directly into the morning or evening sun.. Having a pond between us and the fairway allows fun views of the golf action but insures more privacy and less golf ball hits than having the fairway right next to the patio.
We had a wonderful experience at Steven's property. The home was spacious enough for my partner and myself and we appreciated the Roku in the guest bedroom in case we wanted to watch TV separately. The pool is well maintained and was our favorite part of our stay. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and make cocktails. The neighborhood is quiet with great views of the mountains from the backyard. Steven is very easy to reach if you have any questions.
Some tips: If it's not too hot, there are beautiful walking trails near the front of the neighborhood. And the restaurant at the clubhouse is great and delivers quickly (and contactless) to your front door.
We can't recommend his place enough! Five stars all around.

Needs Work
When we arrived we found instructions regarding the alarm on the patio doors which gave only seconds to go in or out. Fortunately, the alarm was nowhere to be found. The owner sent repairmen twice to fix the refrigerator which we appreciated. Nightlights and bulbs need replacing. I killed 2 spiders making homes on the lightbulbs and there was much dust and stain on the wall to wall carpets. The owner kept some of our refundable damage deposit to clean the carpets that had the stains way before we arrived. The kitchen could use a new set of pots and pans that would sit well on the burners. For me, the house was dated and tired.

Hi Estelle, I enjoyed hosting you at the villa and enjoyed our conversations during your stay. I was pleased to hear how much you liked to property upon your arrival and how much you were enjoying your stay in our conversations over the couple months you were there. So sorry you missed the alarm instructions and pictures in your welcome packet. The City requires alarms on any doors leading out to the pool as a safety precaution in case a child wanders out to the yard unnoticed. Its a little extra work to push the bypass button each time you go to the yard, but it's known to save children's lives that could get into the pool without their parents knowledge. I did not know you encountered any spiders during your stay. While guests rarely report insects, This can happen in the desert sometimes. Especially with a house that directly overlooks a golf course. We do have pest control that comes out if it's reported and necessary. It's unfortunate about the severe large dark stains that the housekeepers found upon your departure around the master bathroom commode. We had a another guest coming the day of your departure that has returned to the house on multiple times throughout the years for month long stays. As I take pride in the property and would not feel comfortable having another guest arrive to see dark soils on the carpet in the bathroom, we had to have a carpet cleaner come in on an emergency basis to handle the bathroom. They verified that the rest of the carpets were clean. This is only the 2nd time in 16 years of hosting hundreds of guests at 4 properties in the desert that we've had to charge a guest for damages upon departure. It's unfortunate when these things happen, but we were happy to refund the balance of your deposit, as the house was left in really nice condition with the exception of this damage. Thanks again for your booking and I hope we'll see you back another time.
Best, Steven

Not good for a longer stay, needs lots maintenance
This is hard to review because the owner, Steven, is a gentleman who is easy to deal with and very accommodating. He responded promptly to our problems while staying at the house, saw to it that problems were taken care of, and was generous in trying to solve confusion in over-booking the property. That being said, the property itself would rank as one of the two worst properties that we have rented in the greater Palm Springs area in the past 30 years of annual visits. We stayed for six weeks. The house might be acceptable for weekend stays but I would hesitate for anything longer. First, there is an alarm on the sliding door leading to the front yard and pool area so anytime it is left opened a loud screeching sound emits. This is a safety feature leading to the pool so children can’t sneak out and be harmed. We are two adults, no children or invalids and the alarm can’t be silenced so the door had to remain closed at all times other than entry or exit. The door rollers have deteriorated to the point that the door is extremely hard to open from the outside. Therefore, no fresh air access in the house because the windows are also impossible to open and no screen on the front door. The remote for the sound system for the TV doesn’t work so anytime you need to adjust the sound you need to get up and do it manually. The repair man even said it was useless. The kitchen utensils are scraped up to the point we went out and bought our own and there is very limited serving ware. Appliances need replacing. If we had an inclination to entertain it would have been very uncomfortable. The pool man had difficulty in keeping the pool PH accurate. Ducks were in it each morning. We never felt comfortable being in it. No privacy. There is no place to read because there isn’t reading lights; lights are very low watt bulbs. The patio furniture is iron and the cushions are falling apart, very old and dirty. The only patio table is a very high bistro table, no shade umbrella and the cushions are horrible. The BBQ grill wasn’t used, it is on the side of the house and no lite to see what you are cooking in the evening. There are no working yard lights for evening enjoyment and it is totally dark except for an overhead light. We had an ant problem in the walk-in closet and we bought bait to eliminate them. There are knick-knacks in the house that are really dusty; the house felt crowded. The house needs lots of maintenance and upgrading. Not a happy stay for us.

So sorry to hear this property wasn't a good fit for you. Odd to see this review pop up so many months after your stay. My current guests have been there for two months and this is their third time back for an extended stay during season and they want to come again next year. All 28 other reviews of this property on line are 4-5 stars with many repeat visitors, I'm disappointed to hear anyone didn't enjoy their stay. I agree the alarm is a bother, but unfortunately the City mandates these alarms on all doors leading out to a pool for safety. They do not allow us to disconnect them even when there are no children staying long term as a child might visit and potentially get hurt. I wish I had known you were having a problem opening one of the many screened windows for fresh air as an alternative to the living room slider with the alarm. There have not been any reported issues with problems opening the windows and I tested them after your stay. Sounds like you were possibly not using the correct remote control for the TV, as I confirmed it works. (but there are a few different ones as outlined in the instructions). There is lighting by the BBQ. Switch is on the wall right next to the TV. And there is an umbrella for the patio table in the garage. All the patio cushions have since been replaced, before I sawy your review, as it was definitely time. They get a lot of use.and the desert sun can be hard on them. I'm not sure about the limited serving ware, as the kitchen is equipped with much more than a standard vacation rental, as I love to cook and entertain myself when I'm staying at the property. There are a number of drawers with utensils. With regards to ants, I had asked you to send me a picture to forward to pest control to see what action was necessary but you had declined. saying you did not see any more. On occasion a duck does wander into the yard from the golf course, but the pool man assures me there were no problems with PH balance except right after a storm that blew lots of debris into the pool. I appreciate your kind words about my being accommodating and easy to deal with. I only wish I had heard questions about some of the things you were not finding or any dust you had seen, as I would have been happy to help. My 5 Star rating on line for cleanliness is of utmost importance to me. I enjoyed having you and your wife as guests and hope you will come back again sometime like so many of my repeat visitors. I enjoy getting to know the guests.

Nice home Beautiful weather
We had a great time a very nice property that I would recommend to anyone interested in this area, location great and enjoyed Desert Princess Golf Course and clubhouse being right there. We had a dishwasher problem but Steven tried to take care of it right away which we appreciated even though it was not resolved in the time we were there. The location is great and the floor plan of house very workable and nice. We would love to be back again.
