The garden holiday flat is located on the south side of the barn, which has been converted into a "holiday barn", with a view of the garden. The non-smoking holiday flat is located next to another identical apartment on the 1st floor. The property is equipped with central heating. On the first floor, in front of the holiday flats, there is a seating area and a playroom with a view of the terrace and our chicken farm. We therefore rent out two identical 40 m2 holiday flats and one rental flat in the property.
In the holiday flat there is a spacious bedroom with a 2.0*1.8 m double bed and a 2.0*0.9 m bunk bed as well as optional space for an extra bed or baby cot. The seating area in the living area is furnished with a sofa bed (approx. 0.8*1.75 m), sitting area and TV wall unit. There is a cooking area between the entrance to the flat and the living area. The cooking area is equipped with a single kitchen with refrigerator and 2 hobs, a microwave, coffee machine, toaster and other things for max. 4 persons. The sanitary facilities (shower/WC/washbasin) are located in the shower/WC room, which is adjacent to the cooking/living area.
Outside there is a large covered terrace, lots of play facilities in the barn and our animals. A one-hectare meadow orchard adjoins the residential property and makes our holiday farm a green oasis in the countryside. Our farm is especially prepared for families with small children, the most important things for toddler equipment are available free of charge. The farm is quietly situated on the south-eastern edge of a village of 400 souls in the Thuringian Hainichland. Sundhausen is a typical village with a unique village green in the centre.
Bad Langensalza is the nearest pretty little town, which has already been honoured as the most flourishing town in Europe and boasts several themed gardens, as well as the Friederiken thermal spa, good restaurants, the indoor/outdoor playground (Rumpelburg) and shopping facilities. Our visitor magnet in the Hainich National Park is the National Park Centre at Thiemsburg Castle. Here you can climb onto the roof of the primeval forest, there are traditional restaurants and hiking trails, as well as the Wurzelhöhle adventure world and a playground. The national park centre is approx. 20 km away. In addition to the Hütscheroda wild cat park and the climbing park near Kammerforst, there are numerous marked hiking trails in Hainich, some with traditional catering. The district towns/regions of Mühlhausen, Eisenach, Gotha, Sondershausen, Sömmerda, Erfurt and Weimar are all within easy reach within a radius of approx. 35 km. The region is crossed by the river Unstrut and is characterised by its landscape. We look forward to your visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Region Wartburg-Hainich.

Es war eine sehr schöne Auszeit. Wir waren 4 Nächte zu Gast und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Schön am Rand des Dorfes gelegen mit schöner Aussicht und Möglichkeiten unseren Hund frei toben zu lassen. Nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto nach Bad Langensalza, die Stadt ist wirklich einen Besuch wert! Ich kann alles schöne nicht in so kurzen Worten beschreiben. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)
Der Vermieter des Objektes war sehr nett, die Schlüsselübergabe klappte problemlos. Für ein Wochenende ausreichend- in der Küche kann man nicht wirklich kochen und auch der Wohnbereich ist sehr klein, aber man kann den Tisch im Treppenhaus sowie die Terrasse nutzen. Die Lage ist sehr schön - am Rand des Dorfes gelegen, von dort ist es nicht weit zu zahlreichen Aktivitäten (z.B. Baumkronenpfad).
