Maison de fontale, mountain retreat with breathtaking views
Come relax and unwind in our charming house in the Pyrenees. At 820 m altitude, the views from the terrace and bedrooms are breathtaking. The house accommodates 4 guests and is simply and comfortably equipped to ensure a pleasant stay.
You’ll enjoy excellent WiFi just for you. In winter, electric heaters in the main room and bedrooms, plus a wood stove, keep the house cozy. Birdsongs add to the peaceful atmosphere.
The stone house has been insulated while preserving its character. It’s a simple home with a true soul—you’ll feel it.
Access is on foot: park at the hamlet entrance and walk about 50–70 meters down a small path to the house. Out of respect for neighbors and our home and garden, pets are allowed outside and only on the ground floor.
For nature lovers, this place is a real gift! The Fontale hamlet is one of the valley’s quietest and least populated, remaining a haven for wildlife. Enjoy a soothing visual and sound show, especially at sunset when the landscape glows pink until nightfall.
From the hamlet, you can take forest trails to explore the mountain’s different sides.
Amenities 8 km away: post office, grocery store, butcher, bakery, newsstand, restaurants, doctor, pharmacy, and other shops.
Bed linens and towels are available for an extra charge from your host.
