Welcome to GrafenNest—a lovingly renovated former farmhouse that combines history, stylish cosiness, and modern comfort. The house’s name pays homage to the region’s historic era of counts and countesses around Wadern and uniquely blends an idyllic natural setting with an urban lifestyle.
The holiday home is situated in a quiet, one-way street, yet right in the heart of Wadern. Supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, and the bus station are all within easy walking distance. Whether you’re in the mood for Italian pizza, Indian specialities, Turkish cuisine, traditional German fare, or ice cream at a café—everything is right in the immediate vicinity. At the same time, guests at the GrafenNest enjoy a relaxed, almost hidden retreat with Mediterranean flair.
The GrafenNest is ideal for families, nature lovers, and active holidaymakers. Playgrounds and a large park are just about a three-minute walk away. We’re happy to provide our guests with personalised recommendations for family-friendly outings, cafés, hikes, and activities in the area—many of which we’ve tried ourselves and discovered over the years.
The region around Wadern is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Saarland and is known for its excellent premium hiking trails around the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig and the famous “Traumschleifen” (Dream Loops).
The bike and hiking storage room is especially convenient for active travellers. There, guests will find secure storage for bicycles and e-bikes, including charging stations. A small workbench with tools, hooks, and storage surfaces offers additional convenience for hiking, biking, and even dog gear.
Nature, forests, streams, rock formations, and magnificent viewpoints make the surroundings particularly diverse.
The region also has a lot to offer culturally: Dagstuhl Castle, the historic Dagstuhl castle ruins, museums in and around Wadern, and the impressive Celtic ring wall in Otzenhausen make the GrafenNest the perfect starting point for exploring the region’s natural and historical treasures.
Popular destinations such as Lake Bostal or the Losheim Reservoir offer additional opportunities for swimming, recreation, and relaxation. Thanks to its location in the “Three-Country Corner,” guests can also quickly reach cities and regions such as Trier, Saarbrücken, Luxembourg, or France—ideal for varied day trips.

This holiday home, with approximately 120 m² of living space, combines historic character with stylishly modernised living comfort, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and cosiness. Lovingly preserved details and spacious rooms give the house its special charm. The master bedroom with a four-poster bed, a high-quality bathroom with a rain shower, and two additional bedrooms offer an exclusive living experience. The light-filled living/dining area with a balcony and a view of the greenery invites you to linger. A fully equipped kitchen and a terrace with a grill harmoniously round out the historic ambiance.



On-site costs: A 100% prepayment is charged upon booking.Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge; cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before arrival will be charged 50% of the total cost; cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will be charged 100% of the total cost.Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Check-out is available between 12:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to make arrangements, if necessary. Keys are provided via a key box. You will receive the code and location well in advance of your arrival. Free parking is available directly in front of the house on the street or at nearby parking lots.There are also charging stations for electric vehicles here. A cot can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are allowed (maximum of 2 pets) for a fee of 30€ per stay.



Check-in is from 3:00 to 00:00, and check-out is from 00:00 to 11:00.
