A Historic Forest Retreat: A Shabby-Chic Duplex with a Fireplace in the National Park

This spacious duplex holiday apartment (60 m²) features two bright rooms, a kitchenette, and a modern bathroom, and is located in our carefully restored farmhouse dating from 1872. On the private terrace, you’ll find comfortable seating, a grill, a hammock, and sweeping views of the countryside. Just a 4-minute walk to the swimming lake.
The historic building was renovated with great care using natural materials, preserving its original charm while creating a cosy retreat with a special atmosphere.
The shabby-chic kitchenette, equipped with two hobs, a refrigerator, and essentials, is located on the ground floor and offers direct access to the terrace. The upper floor houses the living room, bedroom, and bathroom.
Nestled in the unique landscape of the Müritz National Park, surrounded by ancient forests, crystal-clear lakes, and an impressive array of flora and fauna, our accommodation is the ideal starting point for hikes, canoeing, biking, and nature observation.
The name says it all: Herzwolde is located in the heart of the forest. Whether you’re looking to relax, enjoy the tranquility of the woods, go birdwatching, or simply escape the daily grind—nature lovers, those seeking peace and quiet, couples, and small families will find a place here to unwind and take a deep breath.
Upon request, we rent out bicycles, kayaks, and a SUP so you can explore Müritz National Park from land or water. Depending on the season and availability, you can also purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as honey and eggs, directly from our farm.
