Apartment 'Into the Woods' with Fireplace & Autumn Foliage in Mugello

The authentic experience of a mountain retreat. Welcome to Into the Woods, a historic stone farmhouse at 520 m above sea level, nestled in the woods of Mugello. The apartment is for your exclusive use, located on the property where we, the owners, also live—right next door, but with complete privacy. It’s ideal for those who love nature, tranquility, and the rhythms of mountain life, just a short distance from Florence.



ARRIVING AT THE RETREAT & THE TRAIL

Like any true mountain hideaway, the property is not accessible by paved roads and can only be reached on foot. We’ll meet you at the valley parking area for a complimentary 4x4 transfer, bringing you and your luggage up to the house. This service is included both at arrival and departure. During your stay, you’ll reach your car on foot via a 1.2 km trail connecting the parking lot (410 m) to the retreat (520 m). From parking to the house: about 40 minutes on foot. From the house to parking: about 30 minutes. The path is a genuine hiking trail, with steep sections up to a 17% incline—perfect for experienced walkers and trekking lovers. Recommended gear: wear hiking shoes and use backpacks instead of hard suitcases.



THE FARMHOUSE

The space: a cozy 25 sqm open-plan area (double bed + sofa bed), private bathroom, and equipped kitchen. Fast Wi-Fi for smart working, panoramic garden. Welcome kit with fresh bread and homemade cakes. Since we live next door, we’re discreetly available for any needs or advice.



CLEANLINESS & HOUSE RULES

To ensure maximum cleanliness, outdoor shoes are not worn inside. Pets welcome. Please arrange arrival times in advance to organize the 4x4 transfer.
