We ALL enjoyed our peaceful stay at the Mountain Lodge! It was so peaceful and calm and the location was ideal! A beautiful and cozy lodge that our whole family enjoyed…including our little grandson Cedrick! We had EVERYTHING we needed and then some. We highly recommend staying there and our hosts were amazing and so welcoming!
Our host was exceptional. She thought of everything so the home was well furnished for anything you need. She communicated well and she was very friendly.I would look forward to a future stay with this host again. The property was beautiful with good views of the mountains.
We spent three nights at this lovely lodge and really enjoyed our stay. Spacious, well-equipped kitchen, wonderful views, and convenient proximity to Waterton National Park. Definitely recommended!
Chief Mountain Lodge was a perfect home for my family of 9. It had everything we needed and was about 20 minutes from Waterton. The outdoor space was amazing. Plenty of room to eat and play outside. Plus the views off the back porch were an amazing way to end the day. Jan and Jimmy were also wonderful and helpful hosts! I highly recommend this home and we would definitely stay again!
The hosts definitely thought of everything, even matches, firewood, and newspaper ready for us to start a fire. We appreciate the hospitality and it was a great stay.
Great location, amazing view and great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again. Jan, thank you for your help and the great cookies!
My friends and I loved this property it was so cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. We loved the upstairs loft that felt more so like a big slumber party. Definitely recommend for a weekend getaway when you just want to enjoy each other’s company.
Spent a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend as a family. The dark skies, and the family of owls, and the board games were awesome. Next time we will bring a turkey to cook!
A great place to stay . Our group ranged in age from 3 to 70. Very kid friendly with toys for the little one. Easy access to Waterton Park. Beautiful view. Well stocked and organized kitchen. Best VRBO I've ever stayed in!
Our family of 3 kids and 4 adults loved our stay in this house! It was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Beautiful mountain views! Kids loved "their" own upstairs space. Kitchen was well stocked, and Jan gave us great recommendations for Waterton.
The home accommodates 8 people comfortably, has every convenience, is well maintained, has a view you can gaze at constantly and gives easy access to Waterton Park. The owner is very welcoming and super helpful. You will love it.
Chief Mountain Lodge is located with quick, easy access to Waterton National Park. The property is so well appointed with everything you need from sleeping, kitchen and dining to a cozy fire pit to games and kids toys. The property manager is very friendly and super helpful. At the end of the stay we left with happy hearts, trying to figure out when we could come back.

About the host

I am not a native to Mountain View area having grown up in Calgary but my husband and I have lived here for the past 18 years. Three of our 5 children also live here and 13 of our 17 grandchildren. I was a Dental Hygienist for 30 years but have been in the hospitality industry for the past 18 years in Waterton and in Mountain View. So you could say I went from cleaning teeth to cleaning toilets!! I hope that your stay at Rocky Mountain Guest House will enable you to get out and explore this part of Southern Alberta and come to love it as much as I do.
