Indian Heaven Treehouse is on a private street nestled within the majestic San Bernardino National Forest (but minutes from town) with tall pines and cedars. This first class, well maintained home will spell-bind you with nature. Guests have said the cabin has views equal to that of Yosemite. With double master bedrooms (Black Bears Den & Princess Red Feather) and a colorful fishing loft (which has a secret fishing hole for family movies and reading) this home is will be your unforgettable forest retreat.

Fantastic snowy winters, this quaint village has been voted best 100 Art towns in USA, wine festivals, Jazz in the Pines, Desert to Mountain Bike race, nearby Lake Fulmor and Lake Hemet.

This extremely special Mountain Home has neck breaking views w backdrops of the Monolithic Lilly Rock and Tahquitz Peak.

A custom designed "Indian Lore Theme'' that reflects the natural elements and beauty of the area with rocks, leather, fur, horns, old oil paintings of Bears and knurled Indian faces.

Home is at approx 6500-6800 altitude, can be snowing at my home and not in the town. In fact, snowmen have appeared on Father's Day!
Every escape to this remarkable retreat will warm your heart and memories, Exceptional custom bedding and towels, themed for each holiday; including accent pillows dining plates, napkins, coffee cups.

PS: pillow and sock fights are allowed.
IMPORTANT: Even though this is an open forest feeling, there are private property's, and my back yard stops at the giant satilite dish and continues to the left. You can snow play on my yard and on the main street when safe. Please no sledding on neighbor's driveways.

Our family needed a nice respite from life. Indian Heaven was very nice. It was an interesting place for needed distraction because it was like living in a museum for a while. Andrea, our host, was kind and thoughtful, many thanks!

Enjoyed our stay

The property was very well kept and our children really enjoyed all the activities within the cabin. We had a lot of fun and would stay here again if we return to Idyllwild!

This was for a bday. My boyfriend and I NEVER get time off together or alone time. We were sooo looking forward to a cabin alone for his bday. I was going to surprise him. I drove and when we got there I had him park while I opened the door. The door never opened. Wrong code. Vrbo couldn’t reach the owners nor could we. By the time they refunded us all the hotels were shut down for the night. Worst night of my life. We never did get to celebrate. I had him so built up on this. The owners didn’t answer any calls and I know I called 6 times and Vrbo called who knows how many times. Why give the wrong code? Never again and btw the place is NOT like the pics!!!!

Beautiful cabin, wonderful Host

The cabin was very large and beautiful, the outside spaces were relaxing. Beautiful hikes near by. The host was great at communicating, sent us plenty of suggestions based on our interests and left us lots of goodies, she was very attentive. We will definitely be returning here.

A Perfect Retreat for Relaxation and Fun

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay! Andrea’s home was beautiful, cozy, and truly felt like a retreat. A weekend just wasn't enough to enjoy all that it had to offer. The game setup was such a fun addition and the welcome snacks yummy! My family especially loved spending time at the ping pong table. The outdoor electric fireplace was a perfect spot to unwind and relax, creating the most serene atmosphere. Andrea was an excellent host and most helpful with proving fun things do in Idyllwild. I definitely recommend staying at Indian Heaven Treehouse.

Winter wonderland

Heaven and Sunshine was truly breathtaking. Amazing views, fun decorations, and great amenities. There was so much snow when we visited and our kids had a blast in the back yard! Andrea went above and beyond to make our trip pleasurable. We will be back soon.

Weekend in the Trees

We had a wonderful time at the Treehouse, a couple of the many decks are literally in the trees and are just amazing for hanging out. The kitchen has everything you may need, the beds are very comfortable, and the Great Room provides lots of space for everyone to relax, play games, and spend time with family and friends. The host is super nice and very helpful. Outstanding! Thank you, Andrea.

This is a cozy home, getaway experience.

This home has layers of artifacts, history and fun. It is definitely clean and well appointed with indian and bear decor. It truly is an experience. There are lots of games for adults and kids. The deck out front is amazing for relaxing and hanging out in the sun. Big kitchen and back patio as well. Plenty of seating. Andrea is very helpful with local things to do, directions and how to best see the area.

Quirky comfy cozy getaway for the meteor shower

Our family of five loved staying here. My daughters stayed in the upstairs loft that is adorned with a hanging birchbark canoe. So fun! The house was really creatively decorated and full of campy animal surprises. We were impressed just how clean and comfy everything was even with so many old paintings, textiles, and artifacts. Most bnbs ascribe to the “plain, simple, and safe” decorating style that you move into. This house was like staying at a creative favorite aunt and uncles house, you really felt like a guest in another world. We made dinner and baked in the well stocked kitchen and went into town for dining and shopping. Great location! At night we turned off all of the lights and watched the Perseid meteor shower from the deck. Really a beautiful spot. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway

The Native American Heaven Treehouse is a wonderful vacation spot! I was blown away by all of the amazing Native American art, design, crafts, and culturally-related books throughout the property. It's great to see someone lifting up the knowledge and awareness of the peoples who wisely oversaw this land for millenia.The stay was mostly quiet (there is construction just down the block) and it is easy to distract yourself inside the well-appointed home....and to forget there's an amazing backyard as well as hiking galore in the neighborhood. The drive to downtown Idylwild is about six minutes. Close but not too close. You really don't have to bring much for the stay here...just your clothes and some food! The linens, bedding, shampoo, brand new toothbrushes, utensils, appliances, microwave, fridge, oven, satellite TV, heating, fans, etc, made this the best-stocked place I've ever stayed.Finally, many thanks to Andrea for being such an effective and friendly communicator. Her messages were very informative about things to do in the area. Again, your biggest problem might be ever wanting to leave the house to do any of those things! :-)

The perfect getaway

My friend and I really needed a short getaway and this cabin was the perfect place. 1- the location was gorgeous with beautiful trees and mountain views. 2- the cabin was the most kid-friendly place that either of us had ever stayed at. Every possible game that my kids and friend’s kids could ever want was in the cabin. Costumes, animal toys, drums, board games, foosball table, ping pong, netflix and the list goes on. 3- We made all of our meals ourselves and the kitchen was well stocked with pots/utensils/serving wear/toaster oven etc. I needed a potato masher and a fine mesh sieve and we found both! 4- Andrea is great and easy to get a hold of. Only recommendation we have is to declutter the space by removing some of the figurines and decorative items. I would definitely stay here again!

The Indian Heaven Treehouse is remarkable!

The Indian Heaven Treehouse is remarkable! The cabin’s host, Andrea demonstrated strong attention to detail, from the Native American motif right down to the amenities and sundry items. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils to support the preparation of happy hour snacks and three meals a day. There were plenty of games for both adults and children to keep us entertained for days. The cabin accommodated four adults and two toddlers without effort and we were free of any stress to find linen. Also, it was well stocked with blankets and pillows. Andrea was available to answer any questions we had, and any other support items we needed she addressed immediately. She had numerous suggestions for hiking, restaurants, and other entertainment in the area. Andrea truly had every base covered. She even gave us a nice gift to take home with us so we could remember our stay at the cabin. It snowed over three feet during our stay and Andrea keep in touch with us to see if we needed any groceries or other items delivered to the cabin. We though that we had every item covered to take us through our stay, but needing snow chines was not on our list. So Andrea connected us with the cabins caretaker who promptly went into town, picked up the chines and delivered them to the cabin along with firewood! My wife and I have rented numerous cabins and houses and this one is by far superior. Andrea thank you so much for being a great host!!

This cabin was extremely cozy, every room had everything you needed in it. And the fireplace was beautiful and warm. And the icing on the cake here is the outdoor bungalow, you could stay out there all day and all night. It’s beautiful. Andrea was extremely helpful and a very sweet lady. We will be back.

What a very cool and unique home! We loved looking at all the books, paintings, and decor throughout. The outside porches and gazebo were stunning and left us with a day of being cozy back there during a thunderstorm. Inside we utilized the kitchen for meals and everything we needed was provided…even down to a potato masher! What was the icing on the trip were the cute little touches that were left for us…popcorn, candies, and communication to let us know good places to hike and eat. Sure was a joy to stay here!
