Highly recommend this excellent accommodation in a great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cecilia's house. The property has an entrance at ground level with a kitchen & Shower/Toilet, the first floor had a double sprung soft bed which was very big & comfortable, the second floor had the main king size bed and the next floor was a little terrace with washing machine, table chairs, dryer. There was absolutely everything you could possibly need in the house and each room has aircon, it was very spacious and very clean, windows and doors all closed well & very secure. Cecilia was always quick to reply if we had any questions & getting the key was perfect with a little box at the door. The location is also perfect as right in the centre of the old town, but quiet enough street as well. I would highly recommend this house and would like to stay here again as it was really perfect for 3 of us all adults.
Property very clean
Misled about two bedroom property ..just one bedroom ..second bedroom is converted living room. Property not suitable for older people because of steep steps (40) of them to roof patio. Still enjoyed my stay and especially central location. Owners were very attentive to our needs.

Thank you for comfort. We rested in this house in June 2013. Very nice hostess. Very close to the sea. There are all necessary.

"Charming little house in the heart of old town of Monopoli. Close to the sea, the port, very good bakery in the next street. We enjoyed our stay very much,"
"The house is beautifully...
"The house is beautifully furnished and is set in the historical centre of Monopoli. The property is set out over 4 floors including the roof terrace which is private and well sheltered from the wonderful sunshine (in July). We lunched on the roof each day and although fresh wine, cheese, meats and bread had to be brought up 3 flights we left cutlery, plates, glasses etc up there to minimise the work. We found this meant no additional journeys and the space outside was well worth having."
Th facilities are all very good with the air conditioning on each floor a bonus. As commented previously the 3 flights of stairs to use all the property would not be suitable for less able people and the location of the toilet on the ground floor 2 flights below the bedroom caused us some concern but turned out to be no problem once we were familiary with the stairs, helped by automatic lighting.
We arrived by train and Cecilia kindly arranged for a taxi to take us to the property and to collect us for the station when we left. We had to contact her once during our stay and within 15 minutes the problem was sorted. After 1 week the house was completely and thoroughly cleaned as well as all linen changed. Very good and approachable service.
The location is excellent less than 5 minutes walk from a sandy beach to swim in and same distance the other way to the port. Restaurants nearby again less than 5 minutes walk away with excellent seafood. We particularly enjoyed a pizza restaurant down the steps facing the beach where pizzas were the best we've had anywhere in Italy and very reasonably priced at less than 5 euros with house wine at 6.50. By the port there was live music at least 2 days a week. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute, we only left the town for a trip to Bari for one day. The Railway station is a short walk from the house and Bari is 30 minutes away with trains also going to Lecche, Ostuni etc. We took the bus to nearby Capitolo where there are long beautiful sandy beaches if the nearby beach is too busy.
There were very few non Italian tourists, which for us was wonderful, the local people were very friendly and willing to help, our minimal Italian was easily overcome everywhere. Finally Cafe Roma just a few minutes away at the fruit and vegetable market it is excellent, freshly baked crossants each morning to take away, wonderful coffee, marvellous ice creams and cakes made on the premises, together with friendly service and grappa! Wish we were back already.
