Lovely spot

Beautiful location, very quiet, lovely outlook. Cottage well equipped and owners very helpful - we had a lovely time exploring the local area and relaxing at the property. The extra costs for heating and linen are ok, but should be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

Sitting in a secluded hamlet of similar thatched houses, we felt that we had stepped back into another world. So tranquil and relaxing. Would suggest you take your own coffee cafetière as the machine takes 1 1/2 hrs to brew.

Easter Getaway

A great week in a beautiful and serene area of Normandy. A quiet, relaxing environment that catered perfectly for 2 families (including 2 dogs). Lots of lovely walks, exploring the historical nearby villages/towns with easy to reach supermarkets that sold the essential bread, cheese and wine.

Quaint gite

Had a lovely time here. The gîte had everything we needed. Perfect if you want a nice peaceful getaway in a quiet rural location. Which was just perfect for us. We had a hire car and enjoyed exploring Normandy.

"We had a wonderful stay at the gite. The house was beautiful with everything we needed, also for the kids.We felt at home almost immediately. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Family and dog Easter trip

We had a fantastic week at this beautiful cottage. Beautiful surroundings with fabulous walks nearby. We enjoyed playing football and cricket in the garden . Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds . We had a day trip to Paris and Rouen . We hope to return and would highly recommend staying here.

Our stay

A very impressive property from the outside, oozing rustic French charm. Check in was adequate, kitchen facilities were a little tired as were the pots and pans etc. Barbecue was totally unusable due to its rusted state. Just needs a little attention to detail. It was not EXCEPTIONAL as listed, but with a little work it could be.

Very good choice

The property is surrounded by endless nature. The next bakery and supermarkets are about 10 km away. In general it‘s a very quiet and nice area. The house is in a good condition and equipped with all you may need.

Beautiful house and wonderful nature and landscape around. Friendly and uncomplicated hosts! In the house you find good chairs and a sofa perfect to chill with wine in the evening. The garden is ideal for barbecues. The garden chairs were very comfortable too. Our 1 year old daughter was so happy about the sheep, cows and horses around the house. I made friend with the neighbor´s (our hosts) cat. We made a lot of walks and some longer tours in the fascinating landscape (farms, fields, woods, hills and valleys) around and met a lot of friendly cows (-: The whole family enjoyed the 2 weeks stay in Le Heron very much!

Marvellous house in a nice area, 30 min to Rouen

We enjoyed a nice week in this beautiful house. The thick roof keeps the heat out. The large front garden (with oregano, thyme,...to use) is reserved for the guests. Behind the house is another house where the daughter of the owner lives. She is available if any questions occur but She is there if you have questions, but leaves you completely alone. So you definitely have your peace and privacy. There is a small river nearby. Horses, cows, goats and donkeys live in the wider area. It is a 30 min drive to Rouen, which is really beautiful. We can definitely recommend a stay at this house.

Heerlijk huisje in een rustige omgeving

We hebben genoten van het ruime en prachtige huisje. De dochter van de eigenaar was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze zoon heeft heerlijk geslapen in de bedstee en de kinderen vonden dat katjes die op het terrein liepen erg leuk.Het huis ziet er netjes uit en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Een echte aanrader!

Hofanlage im Wald

Zuerst dachten wir, dass wir uns verfahren haben. Erst fuhren wir auf einer Art Waldweg, der zum Hohlweg wurde, bis sich eine Lichtung öffnete, in der ein wundervolles reetgedecktes Gehöft stand. Ein Haus durften wir bewohnen. Sehr schön, sehr still und nachts sehr dunkel. Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen. Man muss schon immer mit dem Auto fahren, aber in Paris ist man in gut zwei Stunden. Auch Disneyland haben wir besucht. Das Haus können wir weiterempfehlen. Alles da was man braucht - auch schnelles Internet. Schneller als bei uns zuhause

Admirable séjour

Malgré le temps maussade, nous avons pu profiter de la région. Les photos du site sont loin de refléter la chaleur (au propre comme au figuré) de l'habitation. Rien ne manquait, le wifi était impeccable et l'atmosphère cosy avec un calme aux alentours impressionnant. De plus, l'on peut découvrir énormément aux alentours. Nous reviendrons en famille
