What makes this Condo unique
Salento is a peninsular region of south-eastern Apulia bordering on east the Adriatic Sea and on west the Ionian Sea. A territory with a natural tourist vocation capable to stimulate and transmit different messages enchanting with the myths and signs of ancient peoples, to interest with the testimony and cross-breeding of cultures of the Mediterranean. Along the coast, you can admire the continuous alternation of soft sand and a low rocky coast on the sea, high and steep on the Adriatic coast, low and soft on the Jonian. The inner part of the territory, you can see huge fields of olive trees, interspersed with vineyards, which product fine wines and oils.Who discover the Salento appreciates the magical atmosphere, the many wonders to discover, the hot sun, the blue sky, the cristal sea, the Baroque art. A mix of art, culture, tourism and traditions that makes this land unique for those who live there and great for those who visit it.Trekking: For hikers there are many beautiful trails along the cliffs overlooking the sea, from which you can access the crystal clear sea in many isolated places. These trails and paths were mapped by smugglers of salt that long time agò, gathered salt in the numerous pools of the cliff. This area is famous for this salt routes“vie del sale”and the newspaper" Bellitalia" has even dedicated a special insert in June 2013>Then there is that part of Greece called Grecia Salentina: situated in the heart of the Salento peninsula is an area where lives a community that preserves the language, culture and traditions of Greek origin.

A slice of paradise in Salento
We had a wonderful stay at Franchina during mid-October. The location is beautiful and tranquil, a slice of paradise. From the terrace there are views straight over the sea, perfect for catching the sunrise, and on clear nights a great view of the stars.
Swimming is a few minutes away if you fancy some snorkelling, a few minutes drive to Marina Serra, and the beautiful sandy beaches of Pescoluse and Baia dei Turchi easily accessible within an hour. It's also easy to reach Gallipoli and Lecce for taking in the myriad of beautiful churches and duomos.
As we were out of season we made use of the excellent cooking facilities in the evening, including the outdoor grill. Livia directed us to the supermarket in nearby Tiggiano which has well stocked fresh fish and meat counters.
The cottage is charming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Bruno and Livia are friendly and helpful hosts, a fantastic introduction for our first trip to Puglia, I hope we'll be back!
Dear Jean and Dom
thank you for choosing LaFranchina for your holidays. We are glad you enjoy your stay and we really hope to have you back as our guests. You are welcome!
Livia & Bruno
Spectacular location, remote, peaceful coastline
If you are looking for a natural, coastal, relaxing place to get away, this is it. We suggest going when the weather is good, because you will spend your time out on the terrace, looking over the sea. Don't miss the boat excursion! It was the highlight of our holiday. We have become entranced with this area, including the small towns nearby. Thank you, Livia, for a delightful experience.
It was a great pleisure to have a nice couple of guests like Jan and Neil. Fantastic persons, nature and art lovers :) Please come back anytime :)
Rustic and Serene
This is for those seeking simple serenity in a gorgeous sea side setting.
The cottages are quaint and homey. Everything one needs is supplied and the cottages are clean and comfortable. The terraces are all beautiul, particularly mare blu. We were able to swim in the sea in the mornings and then see the sights of the Salento Peninsula in the afternoon. There were also beautiful hikes nearby. Bruno, our host, was incredibly helpful and accommodating - recommending restaurants and places to see. We would most certainly return. It is perfect for those who love nature but also want to be comfortable. Thank you, Bruno and Franca for your warm hospitality. We hope to see you again in the future.
Fantastic Time in Pulia
Bruno and Livia are just wonderful hosts. The translation of the german description of the place in Corsano was unfortunately not quite correct but Bruno found immeditatly a solution for the "problem" and us. The place itself is peaceful, clean and surrounded by nature. Thanks to you two again for everything!
Häuschen in schöner Lage
Das Haus liegt in schöner, ruhiger Lage. Die Umgebung ist liebevoll gestaltet.
Ein Auto ist erforderlich. ( Einkauf, Restaurant)
ARRIVAL BY CAR: take the highway south to LECCE;arriving Lecce, before entering turn right and proceed to the direction of Maglie,S.Maria di leuca and Montesano, then Tricase.Crossing Tricase go to Tricase Porto and join the coast road sp358 in direction of S.M.di Leuca. At Km 37.700 there is a sign board(Oasi bar),turn left, go down the hill and after about 2 KM (the last 300mt are not asphalted)you will see a blue wooden gate on your right with a ceramic fish on top. At last, you are arrived at home! Welcome
