Just a few minor issues that were sorted out. Really lovely cottage & a beautiful place. Thanks Rose
Getting the heating timing sorted to suit when we needed it rather than its initial setting was arranged .....after that the only issues were very minor and easily sorted. Rose is always very pleasant & responsive, and the cottage and location are both beautiful. (Be a bit careful of the pot-holes if you arrive and drive up the drive for the first time in the dark!).
Duck Cottage is beautiful, very comfortable.
We had a wonderful time, the cottage had everything we could possibly need and was very clean and cosy and bright. The last afternoon we were there we had the guinea fowl plus their chicks knocking on the kitchen window - lovley!
Relaxed , idyllic and love the chooks!
The cottage is an old barn conversion with flagstone floor and decorated in a quaint country cottage style. It was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay .
Rose was very welcoming and very approachable we had no problems while staying there and of the chickens and guineafowl who would occasionally visit.
On the sunny mornings that we did have we could have breakfast in our little courtyard with swallows darting above it was a very idyllic country seen and we loved it !! just wished the holiday could've lasted longer.
The location is about 5 to 10 minutes drive outside the town Brecon is about 20 minutes drive to Pen y fan it's a good central base for visiting around the Brecon Beacons.
All in all a perfect holiday.
Alltybrain Farm is close to The Brecon Beacons National Park. We have a village pub within easy walking distance which serves good pub food and there are plenty of excellent restaurant/pubs within a 8 mile radius. Hay-on-Wye the famous literary town holds the Hay Festival every May is about 14 miles distant and The Royal Welsh Showground host to the annual Spring Fair, Royal Welsh Show and Antiques Fair is only 12 miles away.
Horse riding, mountain biking and walking in this beautiful part of South Wales is becoming very popular.
